ROMANTO“Smilin´Faces” – with this wonderful track Romanto advanced to one of the favourite Deejays in the dance and club-scene. The song is still a well known club stomper in Germany and UK. You can still find it on reams of compilations.
As a DJ Romanto played at famous clubs like E-Werk Berlin, Privilege Ibiza as well as big events like the Loveparade, MTV Air And Style, Sunflower Festival, Rave And Cruise and the Frontpage Tour. His funkin´ elektronical breaks inspired the club people as well as the masses. The biggest hight was surely his support for Jamiroquai´s “Syncronized Tour”. There he won the respect of the English superstar and also a lot of new fans.
As a producer Romanto works together with Mario Zerfass under the name of “Romanto & out of the drum” and they were signed by the worldwide famous musiclabel “Kosmo”. There they released their debut album “Agent Style”. Therefore Romanto was supported by famous artists like Mike Marshall (sang for Luniz the Top Ten Hit “I Got 5 On It” and Rumours in the eighties), Keyboarder Vernon D´Zune Hill (played amoung others for Chakka Khan), Mike Antoine (Superglow Experience Band), Rapper MC Smooth and Eddie Greene (sang amoung others for Elton John and Mousse T.). Over this combination a extremely exciting new interpretation of funk, hip hop, soul and electronical music was designed.
Songs like “Cold Crush Love” were presented by Viva TV in a “Clubrotation-Special” and activate a big flow of elated emails. His second single “Notes From The North Side” was completely out of stock after a few weeks. The Rave And Cruise Track “Fourty Shades Of Green” is Romanto´s definition of Trip Hop, he produced for the chilly smooth moments of the Rave And Cruise African Tour.
