CHART JUNE 2012A DJ set is a DJ for the musician is the concert or show him where a DJ presents the music selected by him to the public (disco, disco bars, clubs, raves, dancehall, etc) using more often than mixing techniques (often after DJ set DJ mix is preferred).
The DJ set should not be approached exclusively at live performances: often (sometimes daily) the DJ mixes his own studio discs giving rise to a so-called DJ-mix (or "set" or "playlist"). A set can be created for personal pleasure (many people grow the hobby of DJing exclusively in own home) or published and distributed. In the past, were very common "mixtape" or cassette tapes that were recorded live or in the studio of famous DJ and not: they were distributed or sold to a more or less restricted circle of fans in shops and stalls by the same DJ, or locals who were (and still are, although on CD)
