Review:
Given their ability to produce both thrilling dancefloor cuts and woozy, sun-flecked early morning fare, it's perhaps unsurprising that Bristol duo Outboxx have delivered a superb debut album. The combination of talented keysman Matt Lambert and young producer extraordinaire Jake Martin (aka Hodge) is key; their disparate influences, passions and skills are evident throughout a pleasingly varied set that's equally balanced between serious dancefloor fare (see the sublime piano jam "Sunshine Mills" and the wide-eyed, boogie-garage jam "Jaded") and picturesque, sun-flecked home stereo material (check the atmospheric "Home", Dam Funk-ish "Jewel City" and intoxicating closer "My Destination"). Recommended - and then some.

Review:
Second time around for Romanian producer Razvan Ghenciu's So Much Soul EP, which gained plenty of plaudits on its 2012 release on Los Grandes. Here, the EP's four original tracks get a good seeing-to from some of the leading lights in the 2013 nu-disco/disco-house scene. There's plenty to enjoy, from the darting P-funk synths and classic house pianos of JKriv's rework of "Circus", to the ultra-deep house smokiness of Softmore's luscious version of "Silk". There are some particularly tasty slow jams, too, of which Rocco Raimundo's suitably sleazy remix of "Circus" stands out. Really, though, it's all good.

Review:
Paradise Club regulars Juno Sutton, MTD and Dutty Dan are back with a new split EP. Firstly all three join forces for the driving UKF anthem "Block 123", which features a rolling bassline that destroys everything in its path. Sutton goes solo for the melodic and dreamy electro-house of "Get You" and the other two opt for the slammin' diva house-meets post dubstep of "Seeing Thoughts".

Review:
This release is the first from Ellum Audio's sneaky, under the counter offshoot dedicated to in-demand house reworks and re-edits of lesser-known gems. There's little other information - not least on who did them, though a smart guess would be Maceo Plex and Alta (it's their label, after all). "In Excess", which bits an old favourite, offers a swinging, classic electro-influenced chunk of touchy-feely Balearic house. As the title suggests, "Mode One" offers a fuzzy, psychedelic and wholeheartedly intoxicating take on an old Depeche Mode cut. "Mode Two" does the same, offering a Carl Finlow-ish swing to the drums and more space in the mix.
