Review:
Although sounding like a Manhattan laundry or maybe a pizza delivery service, Sixth Avenue Express are in fact a nu-disco duo from Peckham. They've generated some pretty large interest since forming in 2011 and now finally we have a much-anticipated new release from them. "Can't Stop Feelin" is not just an anthem for everyone out there incapable of keeping their hands to themselves. No, it's a deep and sensuous slice of the kind of mellow electro-house favoured by the likes of DJ T, and to which Pete Herbert adds some extra percussion and ravey stabs. Classy!

Review:
Hailing from Los Angeles, Skaggs is an upcoming producer on a 'high tech future funk' mission. For his debut release on Jalapeno, he does just that: "Finish Line" is an infectious slice of electro-funk that escalates into a lovely disco-house workout. His pal Lonely Boy delivers a killer remix too, which is nine minutes of deep funky house with added doomy synth work.

Review:
Funky break veterans Skeewiff are back (having apparently won 'Best Electro-Swing Producers Of The Year 2012 award), this time with a bumper packed collection of their remixes of cult 1970s British library music (one of their favourite sources of breaks). There's lots of loungey exotic action to choose from including the sassy, brassy "Scarper", the trippy "Hyper Hippo", the driving, clenched teeth disco rock of "Jet Propelled" and the many collabs with original bandleader Syd Dale (the best of which being the kitschy D&B of "Supermarket Hustle").

Review:
Ponytail-sporting Floridian Sleazy McQueen is usually a reliable source of botton-heavy edits and reworks. Here he casually unfurls another digital-only selection of floor-burning tweaks for similarly minded disco deviants. As usual, there's a heavy dub disco feel to proceedings, with previously straihght-laced disco, AOR and electrofunk cuts being turned into heavyweight reverb-laden jams. As ever, there's little filler and plenty of killers, from the delay-laden horns of "I Like Girls" and poodle perm silliness of "Like The Wind" to the twisted swamp funk of "Through The Jungle" and E'd-up soul of "Can't Say Goodbye".
