Review:
Italo vibes don't come more authentic than this 29 year old beauty.... Experiencing Cori's original back in 83 must have been like taking a future tablet and landing in the 21st century. Seriously forward thinking, heedlessly groovy and unashamedly funky, it still stands tall by today's standards. There have been various unofficial edits and dubs over the years but it seems Nang's been giving the green light for this full release, complete with a sprawling dub that highlights and accentuates all the best elements of Cori's original. For good measure the slightly less-timeless original b-side "Mirror Of Your Own World" has been thrown in too. How delightful!

Review:
Almost 35 years after her first record, the UK public's appetite for Grace Jones remains unwavered. The 2008 album Hurricane - her first since 1985 - was rapturously received and here we see a remix package of one of the album's standouts, "Love You to Life". The track gets the South London treatment with a remix from Digital Mystikz, whose first release for two years is typically brilliant, atmospheric, skanking steppa. Southern Fried favourite Cadgedbaby joins Guy Williams for a disco remix under their Paradise 45 alias, while Ivor Guest turns in a dub version and Pitron and Sanna rounds things off nicely.

Review:
Here we have the second instalment of rarities from the vaults of Apersonal Music. Leading the way in this collection of 'ones that got away' is the loopy, sloppy-disco house of Igor Jadranin's "Countless Nights", the soundtrack to the messiest imaginary party ever. Next up, Michael Bow's 1980s Italo-disco hit "Love & Devotion", is slowed and warped (almost out of all recognition) into a mellow electro-boogie gem by Davide Franca. Lastly, Joseph Terruel ends things with the insistent, yet lazy, orchestrated funk of "Tryin To Be Me".

J Cub's latest incarnation, with the 1/3 Quartet (which features players who have previously backed Ian Brown, The Prodigy and Groove Armada in the past) introduces itself with this nu-soul funker which keeps a tight studio sound thanks to some warm Rhodes and unechoed horns. For a more digital and uptempo nu-disco rework, turn to Nicholas's accompanying rework.

Review:
Permanent Vacation has been responsible for some truly great music over the years, but never seems to get as much credit as the artists whose material they release. For example, many people will have rightfully enjoyed John Talabot's recent album fIN without having any prior knowledge of the Munich based label that it was released on. It's perhaps the greatest compliment you can lay on the lap of Permanent Vacation that they seem content for this to be the status quo, happy for people to focus their affections on the music rather than the label. The imprint's latest will undoubtedly ensure more fanfare is directed at Jacob Korn and PV regulars GoodGuy Mikesh and Filburt as "Phillip Dolphia" is a wondrous slice of European deep house bristling with summer intentions and dominated by that thick string laden touch at its core. "The Ranch" presents the trio in more downtrodden mood, while Bobby Johnson's stalwart Lauer is a nice choice to roughen up the track with a crystalline electro remix dominated by that brutal kick drum.

Review:
The finest moustache bearer since Selleck rocked the TV as Magnum PI returns. That's correct, Sccucci Manucci drop a long awaited second release on the fledgling imprint, enlisting a premier cast of continental friends to lay down some class A discoteria! Securing the talents of Runaway's Jacques Renault is no mean feat for the self styled "purveyors of fine music," and the On The Prowl boss serves up a beefy disco funk edit in the vein of his killer Public Release twelve from last year. In support, a cast of rising UK talent serve note of their budding prowess, with Tenth Circle's Zoo Look indulging in some monstrously expansive beatdown a la The Revenge on the aptly titled "Early Doors". Casino Times provide the "why didn't I think of that" moment with "That's The Truth," a Bashmore style take on the De La Soul & Chaka Khan collab which has been burning up sound systems from London to Petrcane this summer. Young one Picture House ends proceedings with aplomb on "Blaxploitation" a gritty shaker reminiscent of Eddie C in his pomp.

Review:
Shaggy haired Aussie surfer dude, Jad Lee, has chosen an eyebrow-raising moniker for his slick disco edits and remixes persona, but it certainly gets him noticed! Anyway ladyboys and slick disco edits are perfectly in keeping with saucy groove peddlers, Gazeebo International. "Closer" takes a loop from one smooth early 80s synth-funk cut, perfect beach party fodder. "Babe" is hypnotic electro-boogie, but it's the monumental "What About George & Ringo", which takes some recent sentimental ramblings of Paul McCartney and sets them to a throbbing Balearic rhythm, that hilariously steals the show.

Review:
Having previously impressed with an EP of shuffling deep house disco on Gazeebo International, Australian musician/producer Jad Lee drops an EP of woozy, floor-friendly deepness on Toy Tonics. "Do It Get Up" is indicative of his trademark sound, delivering a strobelight-friendly fusion of chunky bottom-end, wiry synths and thickset chords. Kolombo remixes, offering up a delightfully wonky, stripped-back version that sounds like Sweet Exorcist making nu-disco, under the influence of helium. "Tipsy" throws some weighty electrofunk bass into the mix with impressive results, while the boogie sampling "Lovin" tickles and teases with its blend of jackin' beats and Tiger and Woods-ish cut-ups.
