CD/MP3/media player & MIDI controller
Review:
The Reloop RMP-3 Alpha is Reloop's first true crossmedia player. Whether CD, MP3, memory stick or hard disk drive, it doesn't matter where the sound is coming from or how it is coded, the RMP-3 Alpha submits it to the DJ's control. As the new premium player is not only multi but crossmedial it is not only possible to mix, scratch and juggle music, but also to control any software.
Thanks to the Alpha's complete MIDI compatibility all of the 48 control elements can be applied as MIDI control devices. This way the RMP series' flagship becomes the perfect controller for mixing software. Via the shift button, all controls can be double assigned with MIDI commands and it even becomes possible to control two virtual decks with only one RMP-3 Alpha. The assignments can be saved as MIDI presets for various applications. Due to the large touch-sensitive jog wheels, the control feeling always remains oustandingly vinyl-like, whatever is being controlled. Its new micro pitch with a resolution of up to 0.02% facilitates pitch adjustments with the highest precision. Via the auto loop function, the fastest mixing tricks can be looped-in in no time with seven different bar lengths. Furthermore the new bearing of the device's feet lets the RMP-3 Alpha always keep its balance. Furthermore the RMP-3 Alpha disposes of several new features: In order to play music from one USB source it is possible to connect 2 RMP-3 players together via the USB Audio Link function. In addition, one can analyze desired USB drives via the Data Base Builder software, facilitating faster and filtered results. A very convenient feature is the Next Track function, allowing you to select the next track even during playback. As a combination of CD/ MP3 player, USB mass-storage media player and MIDI software controller the Reloop RMP-3 Alpha is up to all requirements of the DJ business. The SUV among media players. www.youtube.com/watch?v=VRkpb8njRt8 Dual CD/MP3 & USB players with USB & seamless loops, hot starts, cue stutter, selectable pitch ranges from 4% to 100%
Review:
As a DJ, your desire to be creative and rock a crowd with your music doesn't stop when you're using different media formats. Whether you're playing MP3s up to a high quality 320kbps, standard audio CDs, or files from a USB drive, the DN-D4500MK2 offers you 2 x Seamless loops with live B-Trim editing for mixing perfection, 2 x hot starts for instantly starting from your predetermined point on a track, cue stutter, selectable pitch ranges from 4% to 100%, an adjustable brake effect, and a superb key adjust feature, which keeps vocals and music sounding true even when you adjust the speed of the track.
Is there any need for an update in CD based technology? The beauty of the DN-D4500 originally was its ability to give you flexibility in media sources, ease of use, and a robust build quality that would last the rigour of taking gear on the road from club, to party, to Wedding. The DN-D4500 became a celebrated product for mobile DJs who rely on a sturdy robust tool to do their job. The DN-D4500MK2 has taken the very best of what Denon, and now Denon DJ, has become known for, providing the very best DJ solutions and made them better. The MK2 features 2 x USB slots for connection to USB storage devices containing digital music files. The first is located on the front of the unit for ease of access and suited for USB sticks and the second is on the rear of the CD drawer unit which is best suited for larger USB drives that can then be mounted in a flight case with the product (not included). The DN-D4500MK2 has taken the very best of what Denon DJ has offered the Mobile DJ market over the last decade and brought it completely up to date without losing any of the key original attributes. As a Mobile DJ you can still play from your thousands of CDs, control your mixes as intuitively as ever, and take the step forward into digital storage, all in one device that still lasts the demands of DJing night after night. Rekordbox multiplayer, DJ player compatible with mobile devices via USB or Wi-Fi including iPhone, iPod touch and iPad, Android smartphones and tablets
Review:
Inheriting the DNA of the much-loved CDJ-2000, the CDJ-2000nexus has evolved beyond DJs' wildest dreams. DJs can prepare amazing sets and playlists using the included Pioneer Rekordbox software or download the new rekordbox app to access the same features on their iPhone, iPod touch and iPad, Android smartphones or tablets. Music can then be loaded onto the CDJ-2000nexus via USB or, new for the CDJ-2000 Nexus, Wi-Fi.
The CDJ-2000nexus opens up a new realm of possibilities during performance, with the addition of 4-deck Rekordbox Beat Sync. Dedicated controls for Master and Sync let you choose which new songs are automatically beat-matched to the master deck. DJs can now focus on taking their performance to new heights through their mastery of loops, cues and new live edit functions, all perfectly in sync. The hugely popular slip mode is an essential performance tool that takes the risk out of using remix functions such as loop, scratch and reverse. DJs can create live edits while slip mode keeps the music playing muted in the background, bringing it back in when the edit is finished. Another new feature is active loop; DJs can use Rekordbox to set automatic loops in any track. So DJs can extend part of a track, never miss a trick, or prolong the end of a song so the music never runs out unexpectedly. Pioneer have also added new quantize functions. So as well as snapping all cue and loop points to the Rekordbox beat grid, hot cues and hot loops can now be triggered in perfect time with the music. A dedicated quantize button makes it easy to switch between free or quantized playback, giving DJs the choice to express themselves in the best way for each performance. Automatic recall of hot cues and hot loops makes the whole creative process even more fluid. The CDJ-2000nexus makes mixing in-key effortless. Tracks are analysed by Rekordbox and the CDJ-2000nexus browser incorporates a simple traffic light system that shows you which songs will mix well with the master deck. This works hand in hand with master tempo, which changes the music speed without altering its pitch. DJs will notice a significant improvement in quality. The large, full-colour screen now features Rekordbox wave display and wave zoom to provide a much better view of the music, and lets DJs edit beat grids directly on the players. Browsing music is even more intuitive, with the option to view tracks in list, artwork or customisable formats. The screen shows a host of mixing tools that can be pre-set in rekordbox, such as beat countdown and phase meter. The CDJ-2000nexus retains all the popular features of the CDJ-2000, such as the 206mm jog wheel and the ability to edit playlists on the fly. And, naturally for Pioneer professional products, the highest possible sound quality and robust build come as standard. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PyU142eYTLk Multi player with advanced BPM control

The Pioneer CDJ-350-S multi-format DJ CD player makes it easy for anyone to practice their DJ Skills and and make their own music. Rekordbox music management software intelligently analyses the tracks you import, and via a cunning mix of BPM counting, beat positioning and other programming voodoo, groups tracks by genre, album and artist, ensuring that you have fast coherent command of you playlists.
The Pioneer CDJ-350-S auto beat loop function means that with one press of a button on the player, the user can create various loop performances including- beat loop which matches the beat and repeats a 4-beat loop, loop divide which while you're playing a loop, plays the loop at a different rhythm, and hot loop which allows you while playing a loop, to return to its start, and begin playing it again. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fJzsdUqidfo CD/USB multimedia player with MIDI & HID

Introducing the Denon DJ SC2900 Mutlimedia player and MIDI controller. The new SC2900 is essentially a Denon DJ SC3900 with a jog wheel style platter in place of the actively spinning platter.
The SC2900 will combine the functions of the SC2000 and the SC3900 giving DJ's a club-standard type of jog-wheel feel while giving the DJ the ability to playback audio from CDs and USB drives. The jog wheel has a multi-color LED ring around it to give the DJ key indicators during playback. Just as with the SC3900, the SC2900 has 4 on-board hot cue buttons, loop buttons, separate start/stop speed adjustment knobs, and easy to use browsing controls. There will also be the inclusion of the famous Slip-Mode which allows DJs to manipulate the song using the jog wheel while the track continues to play normally underneath until the slip mode is turned off. There will also be tension adjustment controls so that the DJ can get the tension/resistance of the jog wheel just right (loose or tight). The Denon DJ SC2900 can also be linked together with the new Denon ENGINE software in order to share libraries between devices, ipods, computers, and hard drives. On top of all this, the Denon SC2900 is a full-out MIDI controller that can work with almost any DJ software of the user's choice. Every control is fully MIDI mappable but Denon will include the popular software setting mapping files on their website when they are released to the public. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=WTZ6Q__4zzE Tabletop media player

Review:
Utilizing a completely redesigned high-torque direct drive motor that exactly mirrors the feel of vinyl, the SC3900 brings home that familiar feel but with the choice of CD, USB, software, or even a networked media server as your source of tracks.
The 9" platter makes scratch moves more nimble by being that little bit smaller, but maintains the perfect amount of space to grip it, scratching & mixing tracks feels no different than using vinyl. Years of development with top international DJs has allowed Denon DJ to perfect the platter of the SC3900 for use with digital media without losing that feel of vinyl (the surface of the platter is actually a 9" vinyl disc), all allowing Scratch DJ champions like DJ Switch to push their performances even further than possible with a vinyl record. Doing DMC-style hard-core scratch sets are made so much easier without worrying about needles & skipping records. Playback and scratch tracks from a myriad of sources including USB sticks or USB hard disk drives via the top mounted USB port. This allows the move from venue to venue with just a single USB device and not a laptop or CD collection, although the SC3900 can also playback CDs via the front loading CD slot, giving you true flexibility of your media choices. The SC3900 also comes complete with the brand new Engine music management software that has been designed with players such as the SC3900 in mind, allowing the ultimate in DJ set preparation, playback and control. Prepare the perfect set in the studio or on a computer at home, then export it to a USB stick or Hard Disk Drive and have everything needed for your DJ performance in a device small enough to fit in your pocket. Then, when it's time to perform simply plug in and play, and even share the USB drive's files with up to three other compatible players over a network. Once your networked players are sharing the music from one USB device, it's easy to manage, cue, and play to any player via an iPad with the new Engine iPad app (requires downloading from the App Store). Engine for iPad seamlessly controls your set wirelessly through a network, all via its large full-colour touchscreen. And there is no need to worry about computer or connection problems; should the iPad become disconnected, your music is still securely connected to the player via USB, leaving playback, and your audience's attention, uninterrupted. Additionally, playback of files on your PC or MAC is possible with the included 'Engine' music management software which doesn't even require a high specification computer to work quickly and efficiently. With file searching speeds that leaves most other software standing still, Engine's power is achieved by leaving the intensive audio processing at the player so the software is free to run before, or during your performance, utilizing the full capabilities of your computer. Prepare music on a USB device, playback music through Engine PC or Mac software, and control via networked players or even through a network connected iPad. Hybrid MIDI mode has been a flexible feature and a great benefit to previous Denon DJ devices and it's no different with the SC3900. Complete with the ability to be MIDI mapped to work with a wide variety of applications, the SC3900 can control DJ software utilizing DVS, without using time code CDs, making the SC3900 the most complete and flexible player Denon DJ has ever produced. For performers who can't or don't want to choose between software, vinyl, CD, and digital media as well as those who want the ability to use one controller that doesn't rely on a high-spec computer to perform, the Denon DJ SC3900 is the player that you have been waiting for. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jQY0YkwT-E8 Dual CD DJ decks & MIDI controller with 2 channel mixer

Intentionally designed to feel and function like other CDJ models further up the range, the CDJ-850 will give that all important reassurance when turning up to a gig with other CDJ models in the booth. And just as budding DJs practiced on the CDJ-800 at home in preparation for their club gigs on the CDJ-1000, the CDJ-850 is set to become the new training ground for DJs hoping to break it on the club circuit.
Apart from the ProDJ Link connection, the CDJ-850 inherits so many of the most exciting features from the CDJ-2000 and 900, offering major enhancements over the outgoing CDJ-800MK2. The full-size 206mm jog wheel will be familiar to all existing professional CDJ users, giving the same performance and feel as the top range products. And no matter which CDJ you play on, the browsing logic is always the same and all the work put into customising rekordbox collections will be available on every player in the range. So wherever you play, it will always feel like home. The CDJ-850 features the same large rotary select dial as the CDJ-2000 and is the most affordable product in the range to feature the Wave display to see peaks and drops of the music. An intuitive Tag List feature allows you to think ahead 10, 20 or many more tracks by arranging temporary set lists on the fly. You can save this as a playlist and recall it later in rekordbox or use it again at the next gig. And what's more, it's the only player to feature Tag List editing, so you can add, remove and change the order of tracks in the list. Adapting to all ways of working, the CDJ-850 plays music from CD, USB and PC. Despite the price point, it's capable of playing professional 24-bit WAV and AIFF, along with MP3 and AAC music files. It can be used as a Midi controller and 24-bit soundcard for music software, and with HID capability, software companies will be quick to announce Plug&Play support. With the auto beat loop function, you can develop loop performances with beat loop, loop divide and hot loop functionality.
The SUV among media players. www.youtube.com/watch?v=VRkpb8njRt8 Single CD, USB DJ deck & MIDI controller with 24 bit soundcard & rekordbox music management software

Single CD DJ deck with advanced scratch control
Review:
The scratch version of the RMP-1 is equipped with a sophisticated DSP scratch simulator that can be controlled via the two-piece, touch-sensitive jog wheel. The edge is used for searching, push-starting and braking while the inner surface activates the sound synthesis when being touched.
The concept is clear: the RMP-1 Scratch is reduced to the most important mixing functions and due to the added scratch function it becomes the perfect turntablism CD player. Single CD, USB DJ deck with jog wheel & loop function

Single professional CD DJ deck with advanced scratch control & +/- 100 pitch control

Vestax have responded to the DJ with the CDX-05 CD player. It is a user-friendly professional single CD player, which carries all the functions of any other but with Vestax's original features and functions. With a layout for the DJ, whether mix or scratch, the Vestax CDX-05 CD player will answer your needs.
Vestax have developed a new CD filter with its knowledge of analog records. This new filter creates the warmth of vinyl with a phat groovy sound, keeping specific sound quality even when it's used with kW grade SR systems. MP3 tracks can be played with the built-in MP3 encoder. Features you could only previously apply on computers, such as scratching, +/-100 pitch control, effectors and sampling, can all be done on the Vestax CDX-05 CD player. Additionally, the Vestax CDX-05 CD player comes with Tascam TT-M1, which sends the platter rotation speed & start/stop info to the CDX-05 player and controls the digital data of the CD. Its operation interface is a jog wheel that can be used for scratching, pitch bending, rewinding and cueing. If you are not satisfied with scratching on the jog wheel, you can connect the Tascam TT-M1 to the TT-Link terminal on the rear panel, and then mount it on any PDX series turntable. Once it's connected, you can scratch the record on the turntable to scratch the CD. Furthermore, track programs, cue points and loop points can be memorized for up to 100 tracks. If you play a CD that has been played before, the Vestax CDX-05 player reads the CDs TOC info and plays it the way it was set before. Maximum of 8 seconds sampling with the ability to layer the sound over the playing track, CDs can be changed without fading the outro by using the sampling loop function. 4 cue points can be set out via 2 means of selection. Cue 1, 2, 3 can be played instantly with the Cue play mode like using a sampler. The pitch can be controlled with the 100mm pitch control fader for long mixing and sound effects, so that any tracks and styles can be mixed. The Pioneer CDJ-900 multi player has many range-topping features, including playback from various different music sources, such as CD and USB storage devices.
Pioneer's music database management software Rekordbox is also included, which allows DJs to prepare more trickery before their performance and opening the door to tools such as Quantize for perfect loops every time. DJs can then export data to a USB device to access vast libraries of music files and perform live without the need for extra equipment or any inconvenient rewiring in the club. The CDJ-900 player features 4-beat loop. When a 1, 2, 4 or 8 Auto Beat Loop button is pressed, the function automatically finds the beat segments from that point in time, making it simple to play a precisely timed loop. To expand the creative looping options available to DJs, the Pioneer CDJ-900 multi player is capable of 10 different variations of loop, right down to 1/16th of a beat. By holding down the Beat Select button, a 1/3 off-beat looping mode is activated which creates new effect possibilities when used in conjunction with Slip mode. The new Slip button lets DJs perform such tricks as looping, reversing or scratching of music without losing the flow or even a beat. The music continues to play, muted and returns when the hand leaves the platter. Portable music player & DJ system with extensive audio manipulation features & FX

Every control is fully MIDI mappable but Denon will include the popular software setting mapping files on their website when they are released to the public. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=WTZ6Q__4zzE B-STOCK: Box opened but product is new, unused and in perfect working order

For performers who can't or don't want to choose between software, vinyl, CD, and digital media as well as those who want the ability to use one controller that doesn't rely on a high-spec computer to perform, the Denon DJ SC3900 is the player that you have been waiting for. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jQY0YkwT-E8
