When a couple of inner city kids, thrown into violent behavior by the demands of the tough streets they inhabit, are given the choice between going to jail and going to school, it is easy to choose the latter. However, when the school turns out to be an upper crust prep school, they start to regret their decision. Just as the hostility between the two classes of students is about to get out of control, a poetry competition manages to bring students together.
