Review:
The KRK 12s powered subwoofer is the perfect complement to KRK VXT series, KRK Rokit series, or any other 6"-10" studio monitor. The KRK12s is designed to extend the response of an existing monitor system so that the low-frequency portion of the mix can be engineered. The KRK12s features the powerful accurate and low distortion sound that is the hallmark of all KRK monitor systems.
An efficient and low distortion 225W amplifier makes the KRK12s perfect for project and professional studio applications that require increased signal pressure. The front-firing bass port and KRK's light weight and high strength Kevlar woofer ensure a dynamic low-end punch. The KRK 12s has extensive bass management utilizing a full phase adjust and reverse, LFE input capability, Internal and defeatable Limiter, and both balanced and unbalanced inputs. In addition the subwoofer has an internal crossover which can be switched in and out of the path when muting the sub which allows full range material to be compared with and without subsonic content. A sturdy grill protects the driver cone and adds to the sleek appearance of the unit. While subsonic frequencies are heavily implemented in some musical genres, all studios benefit from the use of a sub to monitor this low frequency content. With the prevalent use of home theater systems, as well as commercial systems in clubs and cinemas, production studios require the capability to identify and correct problems such as unwanted low frequency components, exterior noise, microphone rumble and vibrations. The increase of home and project mastering means many potentially great pieces of music are being poorly represented when played back on a larger system. When dealing with subsonic frequencies if they cannot be heard accurately they cannot be mixed accurately. For decades, KRK subwoofers have been the choice for high definition low frequency monitoring including some of the most prestigious studios across the world. Now, the KRK12s provides a larger low frequency driver for enhanced performance that is within the budget of even the most modest home, or project studio. Whether you are mixing in any surround environment (up to 10.2) or just looking to upgrade the low frequency extension of your existing stereo monitors, the KRK12s is designed to meet the task. This performance is brought to you by drivers, enclosures and technology which is custom-designed by our world-class studio monitor engineering team. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fvPEa__zHG0 225W RMS powered professional studio monitor, front loaded, vented subwoofer

The KRK 10s powered subwoofer is designed to extend the low-frequency performance of an existing monitor system so that the low-frequency portion of the mix can be properly engineered. The KRK 10s features a great looking cabinet with curved edges. The front-firing bass port and KRK's trademark yellow glass-aramid composite woofer ensure accurate and powerful low-end punch. A sturdy grill protects the woofer and adds to the sleek appearance of the unit. A high-power amplifier and active crossovers provide smooth and accurate reproduction.
For years, KRK subwoofers have been the choice for accurate low frequency monitoring in studios large and small. Now, the KRK10s provides a new standard for even better performance and accuracy, raising the bar once again. Whether you are mixing in a 2.1 or 5.1 surround environment or just looking to upgrade the low-frequency extension of your existing monitors, the KRK 10s will provide the low frequency detail and accuracy that will help you to create a better mix. Take a look at competitive subwoofer monitors and you'll find ports on the back of the cabinet. These rear-firing ports tend to create bass coupling with walls and corners over-amplifying low frequency information which in turn colors your mix. The superior design of the KRK 10s includes front-firing ports which are just the right shape to reduce port turbulence. You'll appreciate the clean and accurate bass performance this approach delivers, even at high SPLs. You need to feel the bass and KRK's proprietary signature yellow woofer delivers tight clear low end response. KRK's engineers and listening panel took the KRK 10s speaker voicing to even more accurate levels. What you hear is what you are intended to hear, coloration is not part of the spec. This performance is brought to you by drivers that are custom-designed by KRK world-class studio monitor engineering team for a clear and low-distortion performance. KRK focus on your mix and appreciate the need for monitors that not only sound great but work easily with your particular set up. That's why you'll find plenty of input options with your KRK 10s, sure to accommodate any studio environment. So if it's RCA, 1/4" (balanced/unbalanced) or XLR inputs you require, KRK 10s has got you covered. With a sweepable 50-130Hz low pass filter, your KRK 10s provides flexible control for any monitoring system. It's true that KRK think your KRK 10s sounds best using KRK full range monitors in a system configuration. However, the low pass filter provides great flexibility with any full-range monitor setup. The KRK 10s subwoofer is equipped with a bypass feature which allows you to defeat the sub and provide full range audio to your recording monitors. You will need to use a standard 1/4" mono latching footswitch. Any standard latching 1/4" mono footswitch should be compatible. 68W active single driver subwoofer
Review:
The Fostex PM-SUBN is an active single driver subwoofer designed to compliment the PM0.4n and PM0.5n monitors. It features a single 200mm long stroke low frequency driver constructed using a mix of Bleached Kraft Pulp (BKP) combined with ultra-strong Kevlar fiber, consistantly delivering a solid deep bass output. It is ideal for applications where a clear precise full spectrum of audio is required.
The driver is housed in a high quality wood cabinet which feature a high gloss black front baffle, designed to match that of the PM0.4n and PM0.5n cabinets. It is driven by an integral 68W power amplifier, perfectly matched to the voice coil. Input connections are unbalanced and presented on both 14" jack sockets and phono sockets, with useful set of thru provided for greater flexibility. Rotary controls have been provided for both output level and low-pass frequency which has a range of 50Hz to 150Hz. A useful 180- phase reverse has also been added to aid time allignment in situations where placement of the sub in relation to the main monitors may be less than ideal. Mains power is applied via the captured power cable in association with a miniature on/off rocker switch. Active Subwoofer
Review:
The Sub7 has been designed to complement the A5 and A7 monitors of the A-Series. It's small footprint allows for an easy placement even in small environments.
The front panel features two motorized potentiometers that let you adapt the input level and crossover frequency settings for the best performance. A 0-/180- phase switch and a switchable 85 Hz highpass filter allow to find the best setting for an optimum in sound and performance. The low cut off frequency of 31 Hz (-3 dB point) enables this subwoofer to reproduce register of even this range in a highly authentic manner.
