Review: The Audio-Technica AT6091 isolators are special anti-vibration rubber feet designed for use with audio and video high fidelity components such as CD and DVD players, turntables, amplifiers, pre amps, loudspeakers and video components.

Placed under the cabinet of the chosen component, the Audio-Technica AT6091 isolators dampen vibrations both on the vertical and horizontal plane and absorb the accompanying resonances that affect the sound quality of any high fidelity component. Each isolator has a load capacity of approximately 20kg. With a set of 4 isolators, the load capacity is approximately 80kg. The Audio-Technica AT6091 Isolators include transparent seals and protective sheets.

Review: The Audio Technica AT-618 is a very useful accessory for music listeners, audio enthusiasts and DJs who require higher fidelity sound quality and extractive performance from their records. The AT-618 stabilizer sits on top of the record over the turntable spindle and applies 600g of weight, holding the record firmly in place while stabilizing the record and improving overall sound quality. Take care with the disk stablizer to prevent chipping and dents and polish regularly with Brasso metal polisher to prevent rusting and a soft cloth to maintain shine. Use a soft cloth to wrap around the adapter when moving from one place to another

Review: Every DJ knows the concave record (dished record) problem, you're trying to cue up a concave record but with just the slightest touch the record stops or speeds up too much. Worse still the stylus can even skip when you put downward pressure on the record as you cue it. It's a problem that has ruined countless mixes & sets. Place the original spindoctor on your slipmat & your concave record on top. The flourescent silicon compound grips the vinyl & slipmat, but still allows the slipmat to slip on the turntable platter as normal. The result is instant. With the original spindoctor you can now cue & mix any concave 12" or 10" record with confidence.

Record/spindle damping device

Review: The SRM-Tech Revolution is a record/spindle damping device featuring an integral spirit level. It is manufactured from acrylic and sorbothane, and is designed to effectively damp the record and turntable spindle, without disturbing the balance of suspended sub-chassis turntables.

The Revolution acts in a similar way to a clamp, the sorbothane base grips the spindle and clings to the record label. Unlike a conventional clamp though, it does not exert undue pressure on the record stressing the surface of the vinyl. SRM-Tech call it a soft clamp.

The theory behind damping the record is to absorb or minimise:

1. The vibration picked up by the record acoustically, a good example of this is if you tap the label
2. The vibration transmitted to the record from the motor / main bearing
3. That generated by the stylus itself, when tracing the modulations in the groove.

The ideal is to damp the record without resorting to any method that unduly distorts the surface of the vinyl. The most elegant solution is to use The Revolution, which is preferably in conjunction with SRM-Tech silicone platter mat.

The Revolution also features a 20mm circular spirit level (in the optimum position, the centre of the platter) which will allow you to perfectly level your deck, minimising tracking error, wow and motor/bearing noise. RAM-Tech carried out extensive listening tests during the development of this product and experienced impressive sound quality improvements on every turntable. Improvements you can expect are a quieter, smoother sound with firmer, more tuneful bass. The Revolution also makes vocals more articulate and detailed, as well as reducing surface noise.

The Revolution is 80mm diameter, 22mm high and weighs 78g. It will accept spindles that project up to 11mm above the record label.
