Review:
The Dirty Dubster crew return with a bumper seventh volume of their ragga party jams, and true to form, they mash up ragga with other contemporary styles with considerable style. F-Block's "Jah Bone" combines all manner of echo-laden dub guitar with filthy dubstep bass, while Wood N Soo's "Smoke 2 Joints" is a contemporary update on The Toyes' classic, filling it with rolling snares and powerful low end. Subtifuge's "Love 4 U" is a slightly more skanking effort, with rolling D&B rhythms completely at odds with its laid back mood, while DJ Tzinas' "Wicked" combines a horn sectiona and tropical acoustic guitar with some serious dub airhorn - big stuff all round!

Review:
A delightful trio of deep D&B right here as Facing Jinx steps away from his fruitful collabo work with Philth and lets his solo light shine. Trust us, it shines brightly... "Lonely" is the lead cut; a tearful roller that skips and flutters with undiluted melancholy, it's the perfect home for Just Some Guy's inward confident drawls. "Hungry" is more track-based in its spirit; all spacious and positive, it's not dissimilar to a Calibre, S.P.Y or early Nu:Tone number. "Consumed" leaves us lingering on a floatier note as the subs genuine do consume you. Emotional vibes.

Review:
Bringing the ruckus this time on Liquid Brilliants is the gloriously named Fak Scratch who presents volume five of the "Dubwise Brilliants" series. Needless to say it's full of fun; from opener "Love No More" with its shimmying reggae vocals and alarmingly soaring and bleeping SFX, it's lush and shimmying and irresistible. Fak Scratch mainlines for some straight up D&B of "Original Joyride" with its punishing snares and jiving beats all chirruping blips and edits. Shaking things up is the Fak Scratch remix of 2BrotherSound - "Get Up & Fight" with its pattering beats and enticing lyrics. Then last of all is Taifa Lab - "Fumale (feat Xivonn) (Fak Scratch Remix)" for some piano clinking, jungle chirruping dancefloor fun.
