Review:
This unlikely duo have matured nicely since the instant attention brought by their first single "Thou Shalt Always Kill," and this EP is a fine showcase of their evolving sound. Spoken word don Scroobious lays down his flow nicely over "Sick Tonight's" fast, D&B-tempo beats, while "Great Britain" has a more dirty electro feel, complete with some bubbly synth work. The remixes are just as strong, with Doctor P turning "Sick Tonight" into a heavy dubstep stomper, Mumdance working his grimey magic on a slowed-down "Great Britain" and Sampha turning "Sick Tonight" into a woozy and dreamy hip-hop soundscape.

Review:
L33 introduces us to his self-titled "Mad World" with a flurry of pelting drums, grotesquely grouchy bass and menacing subs. The world he inhabits is indeed nasty and brutish, with clipped beats, savage SFX and an industrial lacquer sprayed all over the main tune. The story continues with "Melancholia", where spaced out atmospherics are juxtaposed with a taught b-line and lacerating snares. An eerie vocal echoes amongst the shattered soundscape. Fans of dark D&B stand up - this one is for you!

Review:
Having flirted with Radio One playlist action and skirted around Top 40 success, Drumsound & Bassline Smith's Technique imprint keep it real by nurturing new talent. Enter L Plus: perpetrator of the more rambunctious side of jump up D&B, his Time Travel EP kicks off with the Camo & Krooked meets Chromeo style venture title track, full of pumping drums, sci-fi samples and 80s synth-pop moments. "Human Condition" is another dance-off with bleeping computer game elements, crunchy drums, warping bass and jungle trumping goodness. "April" starts off with a bold thumping intro moving into another tear out number, before gulping SFX take over in "Digital Sound".

Review:
For Simon Bassline Smith's next musical adventure it's over to L Plus, who's joined by trance vocalist Shaz Sparks for this release on Technique Recordings. "Catastrophe" is an epic, trance-infused, drumstep fusion piece with shimmering vocals, smashing builds and breakdowns, pounding bass and bleepy synths. There's a dubstep mix for the heavier heads, plus a tidy D&B mix by Subsonik for the purists. One for the ravers!

Review:
Fierce dub anthem "Lioness" kicks off with chopped and singled-out breaks complimenting Lady Chann's pulse-slowing vocals and hot brass section. Hailed by a huge launch party hosted by the Congo Natty crew and featuring all manner of Leeds dub royalty, this is a huge jungle release for the newly instated Congo Natty Bass label. The flip side features a slick jungle remix of "Lioness" by Serial Killaz badman Vital Elements, adding movement and energy to the original dark anthem. Two completely different sounds woven around one gorgeous vocal, this track needs to be heard and heard loud.
