Review:
If you don't understand why Dubmatix has been named 'Canada's dread at the controls' by none other than Don Letts, just look at the list of vocalists on board this project... Eek A Mouse, Horace Andy, Tenor Fly, U-Roy and Cornell Campbell. Did someone just say 'legends'? Naturally, the beats back up the headline name-dropping. Stretching from the rugged dubsteppery of "Black Market War Dub" to the more classical, dub positivity of tracks like "Free Up" and "She's In Love", this is a comprehensive picture of dub's many shades AND a great calling card for Canada's 'dread at the controls'.

Review:
The unlikely heavyweight connection of Dublin and Kingston heralds the second single from the Dirty Dubsters forthcoming Fire It Up album. Enlisting the unmistakable vocal rasp of legendary 'Mic Veteran' Burro Banton. ''Dem Can't Stop We'' is the infinitely catchy jungle/d&b hybrid the Dubsters are devastating dancefloors with, and this mini EP features surprising remixes that come from very different sides of the jungle spectrum. London's Yes King goes with a bubblin' 90's style digital riddim inspired by the golden era of Dancehall while Colorado's Bobby C Sound TV delivers a ghetto funk style mid-tempo break complete with earth shattering synth bass. Another international link up release from Irish Moss Records.

Review:
The Flowers EP is the third straight release by Japanese producer Takafumi Noda, aka Mystica Tribe, on Dutch label SD. He opens the EP with pumping movements of acid, met with jazzy hi-hats and other live, acoustic percussion. "Ripple Marks Dub" is similar to Fluxion's work on fellow Dutch label Echocord, only jazzier, while the gentle Buddha Bar loops of "Fractale" chime with a pleasant and liquid warmth. The EP's final track "Moon & Stone" then slows down for a dub riddim production undoubtedly inspired by King Tubby.
