Haji & Emanuel - "The Pressure" (feat Beverly Knight & Bryan Chambers - The Layabouts remix) - (6:39) 128 BPM
Dave Spoon - "Won't Do It Again (Sunrise)" (feat Laura Vane - Funkagenda Out Of Character mix) - (3:14) 127 BPM
Review:
The distinguished Mr Haji has a lot of love to give. Puddles of the stuff. In fact ten years ago he had so much it spilt from his main label Big Love into this deeper, more mature side project. In fact Soul Love served up so many funklets that, at points, it almost overshadowed its big bro. Capturing the optimistic vibe of the early to mid noughties house floors, each of these sparkle with a timeless finesse. Highlights include Haji & Emmanuel's cover of "Take Me Away", Mekkah's all-out string disco pumper "Found A Love" and Lorenz Rhode's sleazy P-funk inspired jam "Do U Wanna". Feel the love.

Review:
Not just a random number, "222" is actually the amount of times HJM shouted "yes!" when he finally nailed this ridiculously epic riff. Serious Ibiza material, what HJM has done here is create that urgent sense of drama most producers dream of. It's all down to a well executed, not to mention infectious, three-note electro riff played a series of pristine sounding synths and backed up with some rather beefy bass tones. Need a little more techno attitude with your euphoria? Well why didn't you say? Just head straight for Marco V's even bolshier remix. Massive.
