Played by: Tritonal
Review:
America's Tritonal have been making serious waves over the past year or so, with their close association with the Enhanced label playing a key part in their steady development to now be ranked in the elite. Here they present four new cuts of one of the standout tracks from their 'Metamorphic' EP. The unique tones of vocalist Underdown plays a key part in all these, with the pair leading the charge with their own up tempo and power synth festival mix that will raise the atmosphere and blood pressure. We are feeling the crunchy cut from US upcoming producer Ken Loi with plenty of attitude working in contrast with the big melodies. A more twisted and darker interpretation from Sebjak is also well worth a spin.

U LOT SOUND feat JEM
JEEP 040
06 May 13
Review:
Primed and polished for the party season, Jeepers introduce new act U-Lot Sound by way of this neat club remix package. So Called Scumbags go straight for the Subliminal vibe with a sound that helped them secure a solid relationship with Pacha. Nick Hook and Martin Sharp opt for a trance-tinged version that bumps and rumbles with very clean synth action. Steve Mill completes the set with a timeless house vibe that peaks and troughs with expert dynamics.

Review:
Precocious Danish producer Uffe Christensen follows releases for Tartlet and Pets with this excellent EP on Get Physical. The title track features percussive tics and digital drums, but also sees him go off on a tangent with a swampy bass lurching in and out of noodly, jazzy solos. It sounds like a cross between classic Reese and jazzy 90s house realised through a modern-day, digitized framework. "Hov Hov" is more conventional, but it shows again that Christensen is an expert in crafting stripped back rhythms. The groove is slinky and seductive, but an evil bass lurks underneath, pushing the track to a darker place.
