Review: Dutch imprint 030303 and revered British acid producer Chris Moss Acid seem almost perfect for each other. The label have sporadically released music from Ceephax Acid Crew and D'Arcangelo in their brief life to date, whilst Moss has being dealing in a particularly unhinged treatment of acid techno for Mathematics and the Boxfade label for some time. Anyone familiar with his oeuvre will be prepared for what Bay of Cadiz has to offer, with this EP dominated by the title track. At just over 11 minutes "Bay Of Cadiz" has the time and space to slow grow into the sort of hypnotic acid behemoth that makes it all too easy to understand why Jamal Moss was eager to put out his namesake's debut EP back in 2007. Check the (digital) flip for some less subtle acid action, with "Lynchett Matravers" a particularly extraterrestrial effort.
