Review:
Another volume in this fun 'n' fresh series of breaks-slanted mash up's sees The Jackson 5 get shook down to the ground on the excellent disco-rhythmed "Break Your Body Down", Will Smith getting a tough new set of beats on "Fresh Summertime", Dr Dre and Snoop's finest moment updated on "Gee Thang Twang" and perhaps best of all, Jona Lewie's '80s synth-pop classic getting nicely rejigged on 'You Will Always Find Him On The Decks At Parties".

Review:
Funking heck! Will Actual Sounds ever run out of party products? We're talking weekly releases here; each one as cheeky as the previous. Five cuts are on offer this time round, with three instantly recognisable bootlegs as Musical Youth's "Pass The Dutchy", Blur's "Song 2" and Chemical Brothers "Block Rocking Beats" all get a boisterous bulletproof nu funk coat. Elsewhere on the EP are two more understated dancefloor burners with heaps of originality and character. "Everybody Wobble" rides out on a vibrant 60s organ swing while "Free Funk" grooves its face off with a pitched down 2007-flavoured electro riff.

Review:
Four funky, mashed-up treats from the latest in this series from Actual Sounds. Funkadelic's chorus 'n' guitar solo favourite "Get Off Your Ass & Jam" gets quantised and layered with a whole new punchy drum track, while "Bustin' Loose" is a chopped up and brassy cover of Nelly's "Hot In Here". The George Clinton love affair carries through into the breaks remix of Parliament's "Mothership Connection", while Bob Marley's "Could You Be Loved" gets sped-up and jiggled with on the closing "Bonus Bob".

Review:
There's something a little bit silly about this beefy mash-up extravaganza from Actual Sounds. Take lead cut "59th Street Groove", for example. Built around a ribcage-rattling wobble bassline and snappy breakbeats, it twice breaks down to reveal an extended Simon & Garfunkel sample. Really. It does work, mind. Elsewhere, you'll find a crunchy fusion of wobble-heavy hip-hop and funk-rock licks (Big Bang Breaks' "B Boy Flip Trick"), while Mr Mezdup sticks ten tons of TNT up the backside of Yes's party standard "Owner of a Lonely Heart". Wasted On Wax draw proceedings to the close with a heavy breakbeat tweak of Prince's oh-so-Balearic singalong "Raspberry Beret".
