Review: Prepare yourselves for the aural onslaught that is provided by Freqax on Algorythm Recordings. The Pit EP starts with an ominous movie sample voiceover, urgent alarm beep and thudding sub bass stabs which build into the drop with penetrating force. "Jump Into The Pit (feat Rares)" adds another level of aggression via an insistent rapping vocal, heavy, dragging mid-range and then there's the Gein remix of "The Axe", which begins with the noise of an axe being sharpened and drops into another mash up of gritty, parping bass and razor-sharp percussion. "Lies & Blood" draws the EP to a close.
