Review:
Stepping up to Dublin's bastion of beats, Anno Stamm is a fresh name by all accounts, although it's hardly surprising to discover that in fact it's 50 Weapons regular Anstam stretching his moniker out for a cheeky excursion further west in Europe. There's still a recognisable complexity to the ingredients Lars Stowe pours into his tracks, as alien melodies and unidentified beat sources bubble away in a thoroughly singular broth, and so the FragmentsA record follows on neatly from the likes of Dispel Dances. If anything has changed for this outing, opening track "I Still Have The Photographs" is slightly more pared down in its amount of elements, but then the hustling drums and twitchy melodies of "Purple Clouds" put paid to that notion. Indeed "A Triangular Patch Of Lip" is equally irreverent, summoning up Italo daemons and electro wraiths for the most discernible floor burner on this record.

Review:
Having enjoyed a remarkable 2010 that included Onra's superlative album, the LA series of killer ten inches and much more, Dublin imprint All City begin the year with the first in a new series originally mooted by the label bosses back in 2009. Inviting their favourite producers to knock heads and deliver two tracks, All City deliver a statement of intent with Martyn and Mike Slott at the controls with brilliant results! Much like the majority of Martyn's recent work it's pretty hard to categorise "All Nights", his collaboration with LuckyMe's Slott, other than to say it's a techno step flexer that's primed for play in the clubs. Special mention as well, for the prominent usage of cowbell and a vast array of unidentifiable sound effects that add a sonic richness to the track. The next track brings the downtempo vibes of "Pointing Fingers", all reflective textures and soft, dreamlike melodies aided by rattling beat programming and ethereal vocal harmonies. Forward thinking sounds from all involved.

Review:
Stepping up with some swinging goodness for the ever-strong All City, Tessela makes a strong statement with his first EP proper. "Slugger" takes the glory with a madcap sampling aesthetic that comes on like Jacob London, comical but also perfectly pitched to avoid being mere novelty. It's a dark and raw affair full of inventive chops and edits. "Subway" gets no less nutty, even if the bass pins everything down, while "Push" buffs out the edges with some Detroit stabs. Wherever you turn your ears there's a fearless action taking place, which promises big things for the future.

Review:
The near unstoppable run of xxxy continues with Kerpow on Irish label All City (responsible for that massive FaltyDL release this summer), complete with fantastically adorned, pop-art referencing sleeve. It's clear that his style has matured over his prolific run of productions; "Kerpow" is arguably one xxxy's most balanced productions to date, eschewing the day-glo garage of his recent tracks, and combining a pounding breakbeat and techno stabs with warm organ chords in just the right quantities. "Down Wit U" is a juke influenced cut, combining a relentless bass slam and restless 808 rhythms while the titular vocal sample adds a hook worthy of footwork contemporary Addison Groove.
