Review:
Bass heavy business prevails once more on the latest release from Ammunition Recordings. The title track from Centra's Skyline EP kicks off with a textured intro full of background noise, curious murmurings and rough, skittering breaks. The trance-like palette of sounds and shifting, jingling SFX return at various points throughout the track, whilst driving, battering drums shape the tune from below. Arguably, the b-side is where it's really at on this one; "Metropolis" sees Centra really come into his own. Metallic, percussive beats line the intro with stomach-lurching stabs and heavier-than-thou Phace-style thumps. One for fans of the heavier side of D&B, no question.

Review:
After a purposefully poignant bleepy computerized intro full of shimmering scales and trancey synths, "Full Cycle" drops into a filthy tear out monster with superb production skills on display - tight, punchy drums, industrial almost Noisia-esque SFX and buckets of energy. "Disorder" takes over with a post-apocalyptic intro, rather reminiscent of "Desert Orgy", swiftly falling into a neuro-infused banger with tense, pelting beats and syncopated rhythms. Grating, metallic textures add to the sense of impending doom. One for the tech heads, no question.

Review:
Diode's "Binary" gets given the hefty remix treatment. Maize & Phlex go in with a dramatic intro dominated by epic stabs, falling into an electro-infused banger with searing SFX and bleepy synthlines aplenty. Kodin taps into a tough, techy sentiment, with pattering drums and stripped back flair. Defazed then takes over for a trance inspired trip into euphoria, with massive synths and revolting bass belches. Soulstorm channels a moodier vibe with snapping snares, whilst Kryteria provides a whomping, bass heavy version. Brainpan then completes the package with a punishing dubstep remix, which rounds things off nicely.

Review:
Blasting out of nowhere with a series of industrial screeches, eerie sci-fi atmospherics, the title track of the Arms Race EP is a full-throttle exploration into pounding electro-infused techstep tomfoolery with a discernable dubstep influence. Next up is "Rank Dominator" - a cacophony of broken beats, stabbing synths and whirring sub bass - before "Derp" kicks in with a Feed Me-esque soundscape, punchy drums and electrifying SFX. "Night On The Ferris Wheel" is a surreal, psychedelic journey into the unknown with an ardent experimental edge.

Review:
A D&B newcomer, but one who could definitely make a big noise if these two new tunes are anything to go by. British producer Emperor gets shifty and grimy on "The Sovereign", with time-stretched snares mixing up against rising sine synths and a dirty low-end. On the title tune "Warface" however, things are kept solely for the floor thanks to some almighty kicks and a winding bassline. A must-buy if twisted D&B is your game.

Review:
Xilent goes in on the remix duties first of all with a re-rub of "Tzolkin". It's all spaced out, trance-infused synths and hollow, echoing beats in the intro, before it builds into a high-octane work out with pumping drums, chopped up vocal element and soaring synths which pull this along for the duration. Then, next up, Exorcist remixes "Last Breath" with an ominous overtone from the outset, this one pairs industrial drum rolls with dense b-line and a powerful energy, which is juxtaposed with a piano-chiming breakdown filled with lilting, twinkling melodies around the halfway point. Worth checking!

Review:
US based Ammunition Recordings roll out the big guns for their next outing and it's an all out aural onslaught. First up, former Moving Shadow producer Jade teams up with Mastif on "Hyperion", an energetic slab of future funk which will slay all-comers with its nasty bass and pounding drums. Russian beatsmith Engage takes the reins on "Overbreaker" which keeps up the pressure with sledgehammer beats and killer synth stabs. This is D&B at its very gnarliest.
