Review: Sweden's Aril Brikha has been steadily rising to prominence over the past few years, making waves with his unique blend of deep soulful melodies and samples fuelled by progressive (and often techno) beats. His latest four track EP is a great showcase to his a style as well as being a tribute to the Detroit scene of the 90's, an era which has clearly shaped his sound. The laidback sounds of the title track will fit nicely into an early prog set, while 'People Mover' has a techier approach, 'Cruise Control' is also a big one to get your ears around!

Review: Here we have some twisted progressive heat from down under, as upcoming talent Christian Vance lays down two originals plus a remix on the title track. 'Uneasy Me' leads the way with its deep and intriguing mix of atmospherics and subtle fills, all backed by a solid, crisp percussive base. On the flip, he picks up the tempo with 'Gymnastics 411' while keep the sparse flair in arrangement flowing and many of the his trademark sounds which sit between psy and prog. These are two solid tracks that will warm up the floors nicely, and with them being slightly off the beaten track will have your sets and mixes raising above the parapet.
