Review:
ASC is one of techno music's more intriguing producers, if you can call him that. His releases, be it on Pushing Red, Perc Trax or his own Auxiliary labels regularly canvas a far flung range of electronic beat making and music production styles. For The Remix EP, ASC is reworked by three artists known to his label. Drum and bass duo Synth Sense apply a Terminator 2 lurch to their remake of "Time Is Now", while Auxiliary staple and sometimes collaborator with ASC, Sam KDC, lowers the BPM in his remix of "Metronomic", which is like falling down a darkly hued rabbit hole in slow motion. The third and final remix comes from another drum and basser Jason Leder, aka Method One. He mixes up "Reality Check" which is on a similar tip to Sam KDC's dreamy atmospherics, only less trippy and more melodic.

Review:
Welcome to the deep blue folks; and we mean deep. Known for their ambient take on drum and bass, ASC and Sam KDC take their sonic explorations to the next level with a debut collaborative album that both demands your full attention and suggests you close your eyes and lie back and be counted. A largely beatless affair, witness the soothing extended chords and found sounds as they whisper and wash their way over you throughout this seven track escapade. From the heavy breaths and trembling organs of "Vapour Lock" to the groaning, gradual sound of the heavens opening on "Rebuilt From Nothing", this is so deep it makes Autonomic sound like peaktime tackle.

Review:
Release number 007 for the great Auxiliary, and aptly title 77 EP. Whether they were aiming for a secret agent feel to proceedings we're not sure, what we do know is that this EP contains four brilliant productions all with unique and captivating qualities to make them singles in their own right. German Ulrich Schnauss locks horns with label owner ASC and across all the tracks there is a clear influence from both individual sounds. Blissful soundscapes that have a lovely warmth and musical depth. Perhaps not for every dancefloor, but save these for sun-sets and sun-rises and your onto a winner, with '77' and 'Theta' being our top picks.

Review:
Over the last three years, ASC's Auxiliary label has offered a suitable home to producers inspired by the twin delights of sound design and experimental bass music. As a result, it's become one of the must-check labels for those inspired by the new wave of experimental D&B and leftfield electronica. This label compilation offers a neat glimpse into the label's intoxicating world. From the Autechre-on-valium vibes of Method One's "Stalagmite" and the Exit-ish delights of ASC's own "Defiant To The End (VIP)", to the voodoo electronics of FIS's "Two Swords" and RQ's bubbling "Waiting", there's plenty to enjoy.
