It seems there's a strong funk flavour in Holland right now. Juicebox have been causing quite the stir over the years, and Pushin Wood (great name!) aren't far behind. Tight-knit grooves executed with a loose playfulness, it's not hard to see why funk maestro Craig Charles has blessed them with full support of late. "Through The Needle's Eye" is a real Bamboos style jam with blurting sax screams and some rabble-rousing Hammond strokes. Elsewhere "Get Lost" is a more upbeat, ska-style exercise and a more structured dance arrangement and an insanely infectious groove.
