Review: Bassrock Records return with this monster release after more than a year in the wilderness. Here we see three heavyweight producers of the breakbeat and dubstep scenes let loose on label boss Paul Hardrock's hardcore breaks classic "Dub Hooligan". Rising stars Afghan Headspin are first up, retaining the dancehall flavour and adding some brutal basslines and abrasive jump up percussive rhythms for maximum dancefloor carnage. Fresh from being championed by Radio 1's day glo hero Kissy Sell Out, South London types Matta transform "Dub Hooligan" into a terrifying mid range dubstep roller whilst Spanish producers Xim N Bass opt for the twisted darkstep drum n bass route.
