Played by: Chris Coco
Review:
On this Balearic-flavoured three-tracker, Chris Coco's warm-hearted tear-jerker (think A Man Called Adam) gets a makeover from Rhythm Odyssey (AKA Chicken Lips man Dean Meredith) and currently Ibiza darlings Coyote. The latter reconstruct the original as a cowbell-laden Balearic disco jam, all twittering synth chords, echo-laden percussion and bubbling breakdowns. Part simmering nu-disco, part bongo-laden midtempo house; it's an early morning delight. Meredith's Rhythm Odyssey rub is impressive, too. He wraps Chicken Lips' trademark dub disco delay and electrofunk synths around a druggy proto-house groove. Simple and stripped down, it packs some serious dancefloor punch.

Review:
Having DJed on every continent bar Antarctica, been the editor of DJ magazine in its 90s heyday, curated massively popular chillout compilations for the likes of Ministry Of Sound, co presented the Blue Room with Rob Da Bank and released music on Warp, Distinct'ive and Nang it's fair to say Chris Coco has been busy over the years. Ahead of a full length album on Big Chill Recordings, Coco offers a taste of what to expect with "My Beach House" a laid back summer groove that sounds like a Latin guitar cover of Pacific State. New York based producer Beat Pharmacy (aka Brendan Moeller) enlists the vocal talents of Swedish sisters DaYeene which gives the dubbed groove some emotive energy. Red Rack'em retains the DaYeene vocals for his remix, a deep house number with a clipped percussive groove soaked in hypnotic synths and lush chords.
