Review:
Bonus Round don't do ordinary, and in these days of production line EDM, that's a very good thing indeed. This collaborative EP is literally choc full of off the wall ideas, who cares if they don't always totally work, at least it's not boring. "R2D2CB" is a bleepy acid-electro wig-out, "Benefit" is distorted tech-funk, "For The Love Of Mod" is a lacerating noise fiend with elements of wobble, "Kick Mod Mayhem" is literally that - mayhem! "Holy Mother Of Mod" is skewed electro-funk and Jerome Hill's rework of "Rubber Sophie" is an absolute bonkers fusion of footwork and gabba.

Review:
British producer and boogie funk fanatic Duke Slammer treats us to a full-length foray on Spandex. Taking in almost skwee-like wonkiness on the perfectly-titled "VHS Distress", Egyptian Lover-styled futurism on "Watch Betsy Boogie" and Oizo-like hyper-edits on "Craft Work", the Duke presents an un-cliched and pleasantly varied set of '80s reinterpretations.

Review:
A refreshingly off the wall release from Bonus Round's Point B, who simply kills it on the Siriusmo-esque title tune, "Kwaq". Starting slow, the slew of octave-straddling wonky synths pick up BPMs when the beat drops, creating a brilliantly chaotic and wonderfully inventive bass tune that gets a huge thumbs up from us. "Girder" comes in along the same lines, only filtered down and just a little subtler but still with a huge amount of floor-pounding potential, while "Asking Nicely" is an echoey and intensely fidgety garage workout. With the crazy bass waves of "Jakt" rounding off the EP, we suggest this is certainly one name to watch.
