Review:
One of the originators of the Bristol sound, ex-Full Cycle member DJ Die brings us another fresh new talent on his very own Clear Skyz label. This time it's over to Critical Impact to bring the ruckus, as he does with much style and aplomb in these two top class cuts. First up is "Only Girl" with its swirling atmospherics, crisp, rattling breaks and warm, bubbling bassline. A deeply hypnotic piece, accentuated by deep, rumbling subs and quirky synth sweeps, this is class from start to finish. Next is "Chinese Burns", another very well considered and well-executed slice of D+B with ominous laughter, chiming beats and an tense, ominous undertone which is drawn out as the track reaches its climax.

Review:
Next on DJ Die's legendary Clear Skyz label come a couple of killer cuts from long standing and much respected D&B veterans Total Science and rising stars Need For Mirrors. Well, hardened junglists will be pleased to hear that "Dramaz" is everything you could hope for - kicking the release of with a shimmy of grinding bass, rallying vocal and shuffling breaks, this is old skool to the core with a 21st century twist. Listen to this in a proper system and crank up the bass! Accompanying this is "Limits Of Control" which brings in the vocal talents of Edward Oberon for a lush little roller with lolloping sub bass and pounding drums. A tidy release here.
