Review:
And now for something a bit different as Clone welcome Rotterdam based oddball disco duo Elitechnique back into the Loft Supreme fold for a third release. Markedly more ambitious in scale than Elitetechnique's previous output, Intrusion contains eight tracks supposedly crafted from live instrumentation, recorded and arranged by the duo of Remco de Jong and Florentijn Boddendijk over the course of a year. Intrusion has the duo explicitly indulge their passion of electronic obscurities and 60s & 70s soundtracks for the first time and the results are excellent. From the luxurious orchestral strains that drive forward the opening imaginary cop drama theme "Grand Escape" it's clear Elitetechnique's had fun making this album, whilst there are some genuinely worthy Kudos to Clone for this excellent release!

Review:
Finnish duo Putsch 79 unleash this disco monster on the faultless Clone label complete with an Aiden Tyrell remix that takes the original even further into the stratosphere. The original glues funky and itching guitar riffs to some huge drums while a sea of futuristic synth-sweeps ebb and flow over the top. Tyrell's mix opens up the riffs even more and throws in some wonderful breakdowns for good measure. This is some heavyweight peak-hour disco at it's finest, well worth a listen.

Review:
Tom Noble is slowly making a name for himself as one of the world's premier boogie and disco-funk revivalists - a man able to either breathe new life into long-forgotten gems or create his own bespoke tracks dripping with original '80s flavour. Here he pops up on Clone's Loft Series, reworking his own "Dancing Hard". The original's rubbery funk bassline, sharp New York synths and clipped guitars remain, alongside some great new elements such as twittering synth flutes (very Pal Joey/early '90s New York deep house). Fellow disco revivalist Al Kent delivers the other mix, a sweet, sprawling revision full of bright new elements and additional instrumentation. Gorgeous.
