Review: Italian duo Ajello stride forth with more juicy, organic disco funk with their third release on Demo Disc in as many months. Those tuned in their mutant disco vibes should be able to skip these words and simply press play. If you're new to them, then just open up that bulging file called 'super freaky psychedelic Italo' on your desktop and file somewhere in there. Our favourite is "Hypotenuse", largely down to its famous sample reference and the fact that it flirts playfully with the style of a 'gentlemen's film' soundtrack. Three killer jams, all loaded with really cool, loose percussion, Ajello very rarely seem to do much wrong you know...

Review: The Italian nu-disco dons Ajello are back on home ground following their recent foray into African sounds on the Kalimba Tune EP. Released on their much loved Demo Disc label, these three new tracks see them doing what they do best: "Soomee" begins things on a slow, head-nodding, quirky funk tip, "Sport" is the kind of accelerated slice of amazing hiNRG electro-disco not heard since the days of the late great Patrick Cowley, and "Joker" is a cool excursion into leftfield electronic disco, full of eccentric twists and turns that lead to a bonkers Italo crescendo.
