Review: Swedish duo Olle Corneer and Stefan Engblom are back, with this epic tech-house smasher destined to become a favourite among DJs and bloggers over the next few weeks. On a heavy, Deadmau5-esque tip, the boys let sidechained synths and thick kicks do the talking, dipping out occasionally for some roof-raising breakdowns. DimMak's PeaceTreaty brings out more of the high frequencies while Bassjackers introduce a ghetto swing and some Dutch bleep-leads to their mix, while kwaito/Latin fan Alvaro gives it a full-on tropical make-over.

Review: Dubstep albums are a tricky beast. They need to be manipulated and programmed with real care to maintain enthusiasm throughout, but Canadian bass upstart Datsik doesn't just persuade you into the full length experience, he insists on it. Shoving an entire rainbow of rave into his screaming, glitchy bass machine, he sets the controls to max power with raw, untamed bangers such as the Mario Brothers-at-Fantazia flavoured "Need You" and the trippy Toytown twangs and bubbling subs of "Light The Fuse". Watch out for some interesting collaborations along the way as he locks horns with the likes of Z-Trip for a swinging, trippy eastern drumstep twang "Double Trouble" and causes an unlikely roadblock with Korn's Jonathan Davis and erstwhile psychedelic trance kings Infected Mushroom for the hair-raising "Evilution". A lesson in dubstep albumology.

Review: Vienna-born, Hamburg-based producer Phil Speiser has been knocking out new-rave-style electro-house on Steve Aoki's Dim Mak label since 2010. He returns with his latest offering featuring three original tracks and a whole host of remixes. The title track is bright, flashy and melodic - perfect party fodder. Moonbootica's remix is a badass peak-time stomper and is a highlight of the package. "Crossroads" keeps the energy level high with a seriously dirty bassline, whilst Speiser's own remix is a surprising retro-house number with extra vocals. Finally "We Own The World" is a synth-laden end-of -the-night anthem.

Review: French bass monkeys Dirtyphonics' forthcoming album Irreverence looks set to blow all speaker sets to pieces with their noxious cocktail of D&B, electro and dubstep. And this is the first taste of what's to come: a sparkling, Technicolour halfstep romp that shines and gurgles and a pristine yet ravaging groove. Remix-wise all bass bases are covered with Metrik providing a rather superb D&B flavour, 12th Planet serving up a loco dubstep jam, Darth & Vader painting an electro picture and Nicolas Malinowsky get dirty on a B-more flex. This track more than lives up to its name.

Review: Gaining a huge amount of praise right now, French electro band Dirtyphonics have already had dropped some very high profile remixes this year - namely Nero, Skrillex, Benny Benassi and The Bloody Beetroots - and now they've been let loose for their own EP on Dim Mak. "Tarantino" is a spine-tingling monster, full of classic dirty distorted French leads and some canny rhythmic switches, while "Oakwood" combines a stuttering dubstep lead with some heavy 4-on-the-floor kicks, as well as some delicate Eastern string sounds in the breakdowns. Two enormous rinse-outs from a group clearly on the grow.

Review: Loved and respected as an acid pioneer, DJ Pierre's debut on Dim Mak celebrates his timeless groove and on-point ears. With pummelling builds, a chant-like vocal and some really vicious hoover stabs to play this at any other time than peak time would be a travesty. Remix-wise Tommie Sunshine and Downlow'd apply a more high-end screech to the riff and some added retro percussive elements. Finally "Let Me See You Dance" shows us just why Pierre is still just as relevant and influential in house music as he always has been. Reach for the lasers!

Review: This release from Dzeko & Torres is not two of the Premier League's misfiring strikers revealing a more musical side; no they are a couple of Canadian noisemongers who are making their Dim Mak debut and they've clearly given it all they've got. This trio bangs hard with a capital HARD. "Hey" is hype heaven, building and building like a Dubfire record but with much more of an electro twang. "Buppy" is equally as ecstatic but rolls with just a smidgeon of tribal beat work while "Check This Out" pushes us kicking and screaming into bass town. Just when you think things are getting too rude, in comes THE most euphoric hook you can imagine. What a finisher!
