Review: Having helped firm up the foundations for dubstep as we know it today, there's been a lot of speculation surrounding Caspa's new album since he first announced it last year. No pressure, then! Luckily it's good news all round: across the 15 tracks he's developed his trademark dubstep swagger AND taken trips down various other creative paths to keep both himself and the listener interested. Review: Dub Police lynchpin Caspa makes an early bid for "certified carnival anthem" with the soca leaning ravestep of "Fulham 2 Waterloo". One massive rave horn gets twisted around a concrete heavy half step rhythm that's poised like a sonic boom to the guts. It's essentially an exercise in the art of builds and drops - the track is shameless in its intentions to make you dance and as such is probably Caspa's best production in a long time. Be sure to check the Roska and Emalkay remixes too! Up next, "Bang Bang" is probably titled so because of the explosive nature of the drum programming - expect evil strains of mid range wobble to cut you in half.

Review: Ooof! Just in case you missed its outing on big league label Positiva earlier this year, Caspa's now serving up this bass behemoth on his own Dub Police joint. Sweaty mosh vibes abound as Caspa rattles a dramatic halfstep to the instruction of chugging guitars and Flint's demonic delivery. The remix war cabinet is just as ruthless. Hazard harks back with a retro fusion of jump-up and early Virus, Subscape gets plain evil (with just a smidgeon of anthemic) and Nari and Milani take things truly into battle. Review: Just as the dust has settled from Dub Police's re-release of Caspa and Keith Flint's "War", the dubstep baron serves something entirely new and refreshing. Taking lead from the Kid Cudi style of electronic-fuelled hip-hop, Caspa's subdued beats bleep with eerie melancholy as Atlanta's Mighty High Coup get lively over the top. Review: Badman material right here as Dirty Dog makes his debut on Dub Police and does so with a mighty four track punch. Clearly taking notes from the "Cockney Thug" era, each of these cuts wallops with outstanding energy and sonic clout. "Selecta" utilises a well known vocal with real craft as it loops wildly over the build. The Mistajam endorsed "Murda" is a similar flavour with that infectious distinct jump-up vibe. Things get really interesting, though, when we hit "Insidious"; what appears to be a floaty, lighters-up moment soon spirals into a guttural bass funk jam which then flips to a nifty upbeat breakbeat finale. We've said it before and we'll say it again... Badman!

Review: For all fans and felons of Caspa's Dub Police, this release from the up and coming dubstepper du jour, Doctor P and the ludicrously named, ludicrous by nature, Trolley Snatcha, will cause some serious riots on dancefloors up and down the country. "Badman Sound" does exactly what it says on the tin - warped b-lines, strangling synths and a frenzy of wobbles and whomping riddims are thrown about with reckless abandon. But it's "Slow Down" which gradually emerges as the unsung hero of this release - rough, rollicking rowdiness is the name of the game here, with cheeky jig-like strings to add a little more humour to the mix and liven it up a treat for a bit of the old ultraviolence.

Review: Emalkay's pummelling "Fabrication" has been a staple of the Dub Police family's DJ sets for a hot minute now and Caspa's label finally relent and give the track the twelve inch release it deserves. Commencing in the soft atmospherics of a gentle vocal coo, it' not soon before Emalkay brings through the bass and all chaos breaks loose. Stripping back the percussive leanings to just a skeletal stepping rhythm, the all encompassing bass is left free to terrorise -something done with gleeful aplomb. Flipside excursion "Massive" lives up to its name, shifting up the mid range pressure way past eleven with a panned bassline filled with jagged menace acquiring a crazed edge as the track rumbles on.

Review: A much-rinsed release on the dubstep circuit, Emalkay's latest offering on Caspa's Dub Police label sees the maestro team up with vocalist Lena Cullen for a superb uplifting, bass-heavy beauty. Taken from his recently released album "Eclipse", the original is a perfectly balanced mix of snapping snares, tense atmospherics, sonorous vocals and enormous bass weight. Trolley Snatcha transforms it into a rambunctious dancefloor nugget, whilst Mr Mageeka adds a funky, late night groove for the hipsters and Subtitles boss Teebee ups the tempo for his pumping, darkside D&B version. "Transpose" wraps things up with a Doctor P style attack of screeching synths. Huge.

Review: Emalkay, the unsung hero of the Dub Police clan, gets his immense "Flesh & Bone" remixed by The Others and Dismantle. Bringing his unique jungle-tinged influence to the rowdy dubstep that the label is famed for, Emalkay succeeds in making a bass anthem with pounding bass, driving synths and swaggering drums, underpinned the compelling vocal narrating the "riot zone...flesh and bone". As expected The Others tear it up into a synth-distorted dubstep smasher, whilst changes the tempo and turns it into a fun and funky 4/4 cut with whooping synth pips and plenty of style. Review: The ever reliable veteran dubstep label Dub Police continue to go from strength to strength as they reach their 64th release. Hailing from Tallinn, Estonia, KGB is making his debut for the label and lead track "Meat" pulls no punches with its slamming beats and speaker shattering bass frequencies. Review: After recently hooking up with Dub Police head honcho Caspa, Matthew Gonsalves, aka Matty G, has now officially joined the Dub Police platoon. Review: Dubstep talent Matty G steps up for a solid-as-steel release on Caspa's legendary Dub Police imprint. Thudding kicks, rousing horns and musical synth lines are the order of the day in powerful mover "Back To The Bay", while his remix of Subscape's more aggressive low lung "Screw Up" ups the piercing screech factor by ten. "Ooohh Baby" serves to restore the balance with lilting rhythms, whilst "True Soul" provides a murkier, moodier undercurrent and concluding "Caetano" brings it all together with murmuring synths, tense instrumentals and a dubbed out soundscape. Delicious!

Review: Mydas steps up with a bass-busting four-track venture on Caspa's renowned and revered Dub Police imprint. Kicking the EP off with "What I Do", the man like Mydas pairs a yearning vocal and swooning synth work with stomping beats and swathes of smacking, labored bass in a glorious juxtaposition of sounds. Next up, "Fall" goes yet deeper into the dubstep canon with twinkling melodies and hoover bassline, whilst "If I Ever" adds another dose of musical mischief with catchy bleepy hook and punchy snares. Antiserum and 12th Planet's remix of Mydas' "Purple & Gold" brings the EP to a beautiful and poignant, purple wow influenced, synth-laden close.

Review: Fresh to Caspa's Dub Police since the dubstep transfer window earlier this year, Russian rebel Oiki takes the label's remit to some new exciting bass pastures across this mighty five-tracker. "Get it Now" starts as an airwave-friendly bliss-out before the tremendous drop makes itself known. "Groove", meanwhile, offers a sleazy-but-deep trap blend. "Human Traffic" sees him ride bareback on 808 breakbeats lassoing a bleep riff like some dubstep cowboy while "Business" ends with a savage 4/4 power-packed electro punch. "Get It Now"? Yes, quite!

Review: It's catch up time! If you missed any of Subby's last four one-track smashers since the summer, now's the time to invest as he's loving consolidated them onto one delectable dish. "Kick The Flow" is, quite possibly, one of his most electrifying tunes to date; oozing spirit and theatrics from every stab, it's monstrous but cute with it. "A Lot To Learn" shows a deeper, more sensitive side to the Subster as its synth twinkle atop the shuffling nouveau garage beats. "Graveyard Shift" is more of a psychedelic narrative and "High Grade" finishes the package with an outrageous screaming shock-out.

Review: A single track release here from Subscape on Caspa's Dub Police imprint. The man like Subscape gets low in the melancholy fervor of "Graveyeard Shift". The track begins with a somber intro punctuated by a low, thumping drum kick and mournful instrumentals. Falling into the drop and we are treated to the kind of dancefloor rinse out we have come to expect from the Dub Police camp. Think soaring Flux Pavillion style synths and cheery melodies and thudding bass, with a more understated tone and you're almost there. Definitely worth checking out.
