Dub:iouz At Juno Download

Review: Approach this one with care, as KPK throws caution to the wind and really lets rip with this release on Dub:iouz. "Plaster" is enormous, all screeching synths and unnerving bleeps and blips with a HENCH influence. "Public Enemy" is a more cinematic piece, with epic, sweeping synths, metallic SFX and a futuristic tone pervading all. The Lock Stock referencing "Chill Winston" is all undulating bass and rippling rhythms, pared down notes and hazy, narcotic bliss.

Review: Fidgety, ADHD-addled beats dominate for the most part in "Motivational Poster" which is all chopped up drums, squelchy synth splutters and tinkling melodies underneath. It's energetic and downright dirty at times, but full of fun all the while. Next up is "Used To Be" with its thudding drums, smacking snares and air of laidback cool. Blissed out atmospherics compliment the weighty subs beneath the tune and show a different side to Tenchu. The accompanying Scuba mix is every bit as special as you might suspect - delicately constructed with vinyl crackling white noise and deftly placed beats.
