Review: With a title like "Evil Drums", you'd expect this latest missive from the Elastica label to be formidably tough, and possibly boast the sort of bassline that leads to an inadvertent loosening of the bowels. It's certainly a dancefloor smasher, coming on like a UK take on the anything-goes party antics of Buraka Som Sistema. Lapa Nuna Crew deliver the first remix, layering rave synths and vocal hits over a sweaty, UK Funky-influenced groove. Tuzzy drops a dubstep-inspired rework, while Funsui closes to proceedings with a curious blend of UK funky rhythms and warm Hammond licks.
