Review: Numa Crew step up with a heartfelt, gutsy release aptly entitled Ghetto Youth. The title track starts off with an iconic call, seeped in reggae culture, but paired with tinkling piano keys, a jungle horn and a low slung swaggering beat, it falls into a simmering slice of dubstep. Next up is "Clarks" which has a fun, upbeat tone with sped up vocal, smacking snares and a pumping beat driving it along, and then finally we finish up with "Some Grade" which brings the tempo up to 170bpm with juddering drums, sauntering melodies and plenty of atmosphere.

Review: A bustling bouncer of a jungle tune, "Music Sweetness" tops off the latest release from Italian dance collective Numa Crew. An original within the jungle scene, Numa Crew combine the talents and sounds of all the producers and DJs within their reach to create the sounds they want to hear. Capturing the energy and flow of jungle's dub roots, a fresher drum and bass sound crashes through with devastating effect. "The Border" rumbles and sways under seriously skankable rhythms and perfectly matched vocals and horns. An intelligent dancefloor-driven take on jungle, it's definitely the sound of the summer. All we need now is the sun.

Review: Calling all old skool junglists: this one's for you. Numa Crew present a couple of bonafide beauties that will have you shaking your boots as you go back to the old skool, back to your roots in a rose-tinted haze of nostalgia. Expect reggae vocals, rattling amens, jungle airhorns and vintage FX a-plenty in these two bad bwoy cuts. First up is title track "Prophetic Jungle" which is introduced by a compelling reggae vocal and slowly develops into a nice little roller with powerful subs, murmuring bassline and ticking breaks. The accompanying "Traveller" continues the jungle story with choppy drums, classic jungle SFX and a lush, rolling b-line below.
