Review: We last saw Amit in 2011 with his critically acclaimed 9 Times LP on Commercial Suicide, which brought together a unique blend of sounds and concepts and united them into one. Here he returns, this time on D Bridge's Exit Records, with a four-track EP which is equally stunning. "You Look Better Dead (featuring Rani)" is a melancholic piece with booming bass, rattling breaks and mournful lyrics. "Manic Minor" switches things up with frenetic SFX bleeping in the background, booming subs and barely there percussion. "Stay With Me" is all about the instrumental swells and "Kritical" gets dark and menacing as the EP draws to a close.

Review: Following on from his hugely impressive "Nothing Is Certain" LP on Non Plus last year which blended downtempo and ambient soundscapes with stripped back D&B, ASC marks his return with an outing on dBridge's Exit Records. Stuttering beats, crackling SFX and snapping snares feature on title track "Stutter" which rumbles along morosely, with velvety dark b-line beneath and eerie atmospherics in the minor key dancing delicately above. The accompanying "Leviathan" pairs heavier-than-thou drum kicks with a discernable dubstep aesthetic and hazy synths. Experimental and enticing stuff here from ASC that comes highly recommended.

Review: A very promising young artist who made his name on Med School's "New Blood 011" compilation last year, Clarity brings us another high profile release, this time on D Bridge's Exit imprint. Believe the hype here as this is one wunderkind who is well worth checking out; after a long, tense, cinematic intro of various white noise and gritty Burial-like SFX, "Fractured" builds into the main part via a series of heavy thumps with an acerbic bite. Dark and deep, this is Exit at its best. Accompanying cut "Off The Cuff" is another stunner with hollow, clip-clop beats, a stern, groaning bassline and plenty of menace in the subs. Excellent stuff - check this out.

Review: Exit new boys Code 3 arrive on the label to deliver their next eagerly awaited single, "Living Proof." With them, they bring two killer tracks of their trademark dark and techy D&B science, full of unsettling atmospheres and unnerving beats. The title track sets the scene with a paranoia inducing soundscape through walls of dread sub bass pressure pressing against sparse, eerie atmospheres.

Stepping snare placements add to the uneasy feel of open space that the listener finds themselves in. The beat pulses away steadily underneath churning bass swabs, ghostly synth stabs and haunting effects. Distorted fizz and hits bounce off each other, giving the track its groove which builds and builds throughout, dragging you further into the depths with each sinister turn. "Living Proof" immediately grips your attention, more than anything because you are too terrified to just let this menacing monster wander freely. Instead, you need to keep a watchful ear and give it your undivided attention. On the flip, "Response Call" turns up the energy whilst retaining the atmospheric, science sound dashes. It works tough percussion with shifting rhythmic gears through throbbing bass, rooting the sound firmly in the underground. Powerful sub bass swells in the mix as effects from another world creep in once more to take the listener out of their comfort zone.

An excellent debut for Exit, "Living Proof" sees Code 3 deliver some truly disturbing and soul trembling D&B. What makes their sound so special lies in their restrained ability to keep a lid on their productions and not let them spill over. Instead, they let the space and atmosphere do their devastating work.

Review: Two top cuts from Consequence here on D Bridge's Exit Records which act as a sampler to the forthcoming Test Dream album. Exciting, experimental and deeply moving flavours dominate, as one would expect, "Oden" is a beautiful, lilting piece with growling sub bass, whirring b-line and plenty of enticing melody. "Untitled Dream" is definitely the deeper pick of the two with a Burial like ethereal aspect, floaty drums and dreamy, delicate percussion and SFX. This one glides along effortlessly with vocal snippets adding further poignancy. Heavy stuff here - D&B heads take note.

Review: Exit boss dBridge continues his push the boundaries with two deep and melodic, post-drum and bass tracks for his label. Lead cut "Love Hotel" sinks into the furthest depths of bass, offering a sound with as much in common with early electro as D&B. The track offers the most in its mood and subtle groove - not one to lose it to, but certainly one to get lost in. "The Dim Light" on the flip is minimal and abstract electronica merged with stepping tech syncopations to unveil dBridge's dystopian soundscape.

Review: A considered highlight of recent Autonomic podcasts, D Bridge finally releases "So Lonely", a track notable for some heart wrenching vocals from the Exit Records boss himself. If the fragile and stripped down nature of the original is not for you (and the feline growls that intermittently appear throughout seem an odd accompaniment) then the commissioned remixes will certainly find favour; not least the effort from Hyperdub's Morgan Zarate which imbues proceedings with some shimmering future funk. Exit regular Consequence opts for the more familiar spacious D&B steppah vibe, flushing the nether regions of the crisp, electrofied 808 programming with plenty of menacing industrial atmosphere.

Review: Combining a half-step rhythm with warped bass growls, metallic lined woodblock snare hits and sinister atmospherics, Dub Phizix & Skeptikal's "Marka" is one of the most forward thinking drum & bass tracks of the year, nonetheless given its unique character by Strategy's menacing, dub leaning vocal contribution. "Rags" meanwhile proves to be just as vital, utilizing minimal percussive tics with vinyl crackle and sharp snares, teasing as it threatens to break into an all out assault. Highly recommended.

Review: Having lit up dancefloors and hearts across the globe with the incendiary sounds of "Marka", you'll no doubt be pleased to hear that Dub Phizix is back, this time teaming up with long-term partner in crime, the ineffable Skittles for "I'm A Creator "on D Bridge's revered Exit Records. True to form and it's another tribal stomper with terse, crisp beats, whirring sub bass and deftly delivered streetwise lyrics from Skittles with the recurring refrain of "I'm a Creator". Accompanying this is "Happy 5" with its jumping, skittish beats and rallying, hiccupping cries, it's another success story for Manchester talent Dub Phizix.

Review: We'd love to tell you this EP is Fis's tribute to the House Of Commons. But we won't. Because he's based in New Zealand and doesn't really have much time for British politics. Instead we'll focus on the many strengths of this wondrously packed six track deep dancefloor dub workout... "Steeper" is a major stand out for us thanks to its fine use of pan pipes (a very hard instrument to nail without sounding rubbish, if you ask us), the rusty looping rhythm on "We Cross Tracks" is also most alluring in a hypnotising dancehall style. The title track is also a 'must-have' as ghostly, warped sounds weave their way around a jilted beat pattern to deadly effect. Dark? Yes. Enlightening? You betcha...

Review: Clearly inspired by the ever-mutating juke and ghetto tech movement, Fracture and Exit take a swift departure from their usual sonic poison for this interesting dancefloor-centric release. And we mean swift: the footwork on both cuts here are fast, furious and infected with funk. "Get Busy" is the slightly slower of the two, fronting with a nose so hard it'll make DJ Assault run away crying. Meanwhile "Get Down To The Funky Beat" will work for D&B, dubstep and ghetto heads with its insatiable rhythm, deep bass gurgles and reverberating rim shots. Pure party fodder; play this well and watch the carnage unfold.

Review: Exit can always be relied upon for forward-thinking, quality beats, which push boundaries and do something a little different from the norm. Well, this release from Indigo is no exception. Taking things on a deep, experimental dubstep tip, the gentle crackling of the sparse intro quickly cracks and gives way to an incredibly crafted soundscape full of bass warps, echoing hollow SFX and quirky little edits. Accompanying this glorious piece of music is "The Root" which is another little surprise - full of whirring SFX, soft thumping heartbeat-like beats and ticking hi hats. For all serious music heads - make sure you give this a listen.

Review: Rising Mancunian talent Joe Seven, who has already released on Noisia's Vision and experimental offshoot, Invisible, makes a welcomed return to the airwaves, this time on D Bridge's acclaimed Exit Records. "All Prologue" introduces swirling atmospherics, ticking hi-hats and a gentle siren pushing towards the drop. What follows is a deep, heady compelling cut with a sparse soundscape, clearly taking influence from the Autonomic school of thought. "Untitled Monotron" is another futuristic slice of brilliance with tense, whirring synthline, growling bass and sci-fi vocoder.

Review: One half of upcoming doomsters They Live, this debut release by Joe Seven (who formerly collaborated with Noisia on "Hand Gestures") on choice label Exit sees an exhilarating cocktail of deep, ambient atmospheres with fresh, pitched-up snares and clicks on the post-dubstep tech of "Restionaire". On the flip, "The Cous" is possibly even better; a slowish warped-boogie track with Human League drums and a triumphant but nicely understated bass melody driving it home. Fantastically futuristic stuff all round, and well worth checking out.

Review: Exploring the outer regions around the edge of the drum and bass spectrum, Loxy & Resound finally unleash their long awaited Burning Shadows LP on dBridge's Exit label and it's D&B, but not as we know it. Over 13 tracks they stretch the form to its limits, maintaining the air of darkness but experimenting with the genre in a playful manner. Rhythms are continually bent out of shape and sounds come from nowhere and disappear twice as quickly, the duo constantly swooping from leftfield. Challenging but ultimately rewarding.

Review: With their long awaited Burning Shadows LP due to drop imminently on dBridge's Exit label, Loxy & Resound offer up this tasty sampler, and all bodes well for this much heralded collaboration which has been three years in the making. "Black Hole" is a typically deep and brooding affair with half time sledgehammer beats, dubwise snares and murky bass. Up next, "Sin City" is a touch heavier with spooky atmospherics throughout. Just make sure you check under the bed before you turn out the light.

Review: There's some incredible creativity happening around the 80-95 mark at the moment. The once wholesome and innocent Autonomic sound has hit its teens and it's getting just a little bit bolshy. "Small Victories" still breathes with the same blissed out sweetness but there's a darker substance in the beefy underbelly. "Gamma", meanwhile, is 100 per cent unruly; steppy, tripletty and saturated in deep, immersive drone-bass, it's an instant rabble-rouser. "Squares" slouches up the rear, lolloping along, covered in a trippy texture of counter melodies. "Electric Riddim" finishes this victorious journey with a heavy nod to both classical jungle and the future.

Review: After moonlighting on Exit, Synkro takes the lead with a track perfectly suited to the doe-eyed melancholia of the label. "Progression" also neatly fits Synkro's own emotionally rich back catalogue, as swathes of pads and tones blur into one rising and falling suite, while the beat remains crisp and rigid, gently breaking over the half-step kick pattern. Regular sparring partner Indigo steps up for the remix, bringing with him a walloping sub bass line and some seriously crafty jungle breaks. Breaking up the elegant original to become something much ruder, his reimagining is the perfect foil to complete the EP.

Review: Synkro and Indigo team up for a beautiful, heartfelt release on D Bridge's renowned and highly revered Exit Records. "Guidance" is all ambient, gentle atmospherics and rippling beats with woozy, echoing vocal snippets layered over the top. Crackling SFX and glitchy rhythms add that extra je ne sais quois to the equation. Sit back and soak up the sounds. "Reflection" is a more mournful cut, with whispering melodies, sweeping atmospherics, perfectly articulated beats and rolling breaks. A cooing, vocal element comes in and out of focus like a cool summer's breeze. Utterly divine from start to finish.

Review: D-Bridge's often brilliant Exit label serve up a delicious slice of electronica on this latest 12" from newcomer Velvit. "Chic Anatomy" is clearly influenced by the clean, minimal lines of Autechre and their Warp stable peers from the mid 90's. Slightly moody synths and a pulsing electro beat also tip a nod to 80's heroes Man Parrish and Harold Faltemeyer. "Den-En-Toshi" by way of contrast revolves around a 4/4 beat but develops into the kind of soft centred, woozy number that recalls The Black Dog. This is retro future music at its finest.
