Review:
Originally released 12 years ago, this sexy-assed four-track EP has been remastered for the digital age. And guess what? It still sounds timeless. Quintessential New York house music, grooves like this never grow old. Think early Louie Vega, think Armand Van Helden, think Junior Sanchez - classic four-to-the-floor with great sample use thrown in to boot. Of the three tracks (and one remix) we're spoiled for highlights, but if you put a gun to our heads - and please don't, we're abhor violence - then we'd suggest checking the super-smooth tempo drop on "I'm Jumpin' Up & Down" and the deliciously old school synths, hip-swinging guitar lick and chest-punching kicks on "Get Up Everybody". Beautifully brutal.

Review:
The "Brutal Bill Project" continues with this rather generous five-piece set from 1996. The remastering job demands a salute or two; while the sonics have clearly been fine tuned to meet today's standards, the loose, scratchy analogue funk is still here in abundance. Highlights include the good-for-nothing bass swing and relentless jack of "Everybody Wanna Dance", the trumpet-tearing teaser "Philly Jazz" and the minimalist samba percussion and step-by-step build-up chaos of "Everybody Wanna Beat".
