Review:
Our favourite Digital Soundboy takes a step over to High Culture for another of his rambunctious dubstep offerings. It's a far cry from his "Turn Down The Lights" D&B hey day, as crashing drums and growling mid-range kick in with full force in "Tempo", with an ominous undertone present throughout. Accompanying this is "Taking Over" which builds from a gentle, ticking intro with anguished wails, dropping into the main tune with a rave vocal and developing into a Prodigy influenced dubstep number. Expect to hear this in a club near you!

Review:
Expect the usual raga-jungle fusion business from the infamous Mr Benny Page on this superb single release on High Culture replete with infectious, sing along vocal hooks, pumping dancefloor drums and shimmying melodies. "Top Rank Skank (feat. Mr Williamz)" heads up the release with an uplifting, feel-good vibe, enticing vocals from Mr Williamz which bring the spirit of Jamaica into the heart of the music, along with gentle pattering drums which drive the tune along for the duration. Accompanying cut "Know Fi Move Your Waist" is another killer with catchy vocal loops, percussive breaks and a soulful edge that means you just have to dance to it.

Benny Page seems to be on a bit of a roll at the moment. Here he teams up with old partner in crime Zero G, Solo Banton, Topcat, Mr Williamz and Ms Bratt across the first volume of the "High Culture Compilation". Lo and behold, there are 21st century jungle vibes in abundance with an upbeat and infectious vibe, as well as some dubstep and much more. Kicking off with Benny Page & Solo Banton's "Dangerous" its all pattering beats, sing-a-long ragga jungle lyrics and dancefloor directed energy. Elsewhere check out the aggressive swagger of "Sound Fi Dead (feat. Topcat)" as well as "Body Pumpin" and the wicked Zero G remix of "Tear Down" which concludes the album.

Review:
Mixing upfront jump up with jungle has made the Jungle Assassins series of releases a total necessity for all fans of either genre. Vol 4 is no exception, starting off with Levela's hard-hitting remix of "Dangerous" featuring the unmistakeable vocals of Solo Banton. Bouncing hard but still keeping track of Benny Page's floorfilling original, it's a tune to suit every party. "Rumple Stinkslit" is another Benny Page jump up masterpiece, plus, who doesn't love a good anagram? Big, brash and ready to tear up your dancefloor, like Red Bull-fuelled raving in a china shop, don't expect to stop until everything's destroyed.

Review:
Straight from the tropical climes of Benny Page's studio and featuring the unmistakeable vocals of TopCat, you'd never guess Benny was a Reading boy through and through listening to "Sound Fi Dead". This badboy rhythm has been given four makeovers that couldn't be any different. Cabbie's take is strictly jungle, taking little bits here and there from the old school and adding the nastiest bass and the hottest brass, while DJ Oder laughs in the face of tradition and smashes everything up good and proper with drops all over the place; with bass enough to wake the dead, it's set to light up dancefloors everywhere. Ricky Tuff adds some classic soundsystem vibes to create his own little taste of dub heaven, and Aries & Tuffist lay down a seriously devastating jungle bassline to round it all off. Mooooooove!

Review:
Benny Page continues his trail of destruction with Mz Bratt in tow on the High Culture imprint. Needless to say "Tear Down" is an incendiary urban banger with razor sharp delivery from Mz Bratt and brash, jump up beats and a playful swagger from Benny Page. Gritty bass is paired with furious drum rolls, tumultuous builds and drops and whomping mid range. It's super fun, party music for the modern generation. Accompanying the original is a remix by Zero G which takes things on a less rambunctious tip, as well as "One More Time" which sees more bashy beats and blaring synths from Benny Page.

Review:
Over the last decade Benny Page has proved himself a survivor in the rapidly changing UK bass culture, playing and producing with the biggest and the best in variety of fields from jungle to UK funky and bassline. Here however, he sticks to his original guns, with "Dangerous" being a total jungle banger complete with dirty basslines and rough ragga MCing from Solo Banton. Up next, "Perdominant" sees Page hook up with the spectacularly named Psycho Freud to combine ska influences with a pounding, peak time D&B production.

Review:
Benny Page and Zero G have been churning out some sterling work on High Culture recently, and this EP, featuring Tenor Fly, saw them turn in possibly their best collaboration to date. Easily one of the most distinctive, inimitable MCs to ever hold a mic, Tenor's rapid tongue works wonder over Benny and Zero's rave-tinged slice of grime. Peak time heads down rolls at play, you can file this under savage. Zero G goes solo for the remainder of the package; "Murda In The Dancehall" is tonked up electro dancehall while "What Must I Do" takes a slippery segue into the whirling retro futurisms of nu-jungle. Hefty gear, may their sterling work continue.

Review:
The one and only Marcus Visionary steps up and provides the Jungle Assassins Vol 2 on the High Culture imprint. Think jungle revivalist vibes a-plenty across this four-track EP. Kicking off with the upbeat and infectiously dance-able "Ruler" which pairs rattling breaks with cheery jungle chirrups and lovely reggae vocal. Next comes "Heavy Vibration" continues the theme with plenty of nod to yesteryear's roots with punchy drums and shimmying melodies, whilst "Badboy Skank" gets down and dirty. Last but not least "My Life" brings the EP to a close with glistening SFX and low slung rhythms and bassline fervor.
