Review:
After releases on Spectral Sound, Visionquest and DFA; Benoit & Sergio debut on Hot Creations with the A Bridge So Far EP. Harnessing their synth pop sensibilities, the title track opens with a DJ friendly beat in, subtle white noise fizzes and cut up vocals which give way for an up-beat and dominating bassline, extended vocals and sunshine synths for a freezing European winter. The brooding bassline of "$100 Bill" in comparison makes up the track's centerpiece, flanked by shorter and sultrier vocals, danceable melodies and post crescendo claps that cut right through the mix.

Review:
After making a brief splash with an appearance on International Deejay Gigolos back in 2006, Brazilian duo Digitaria are back in action and this time buffed and polished for a strut on the Hot Creations catwalk. There's plenty of electro-pop moves being played out over lead track "Shine", setting up Morgan Geist for a sure shot remix that panders to his love of bombast a la Storm Queen and yet still comes off as a more minimal end result. "Mystic Flow" has a slightly more moody dancefloor tone, although still on the lighter end of the production spectrum, while Waff gets busy with a remix of "Shine" that does a safe and steady job of working the original into a deep house track.

Review:
Ah, Hot Creations, home to the hippest house music that cites disco and 25 year-old club anthems as its inspirations. Here, label head honchos Jamie Jones and Lee Foss revive their Hot Natured project for a sweet stroll through smiley vocal house territory in the company of one-time electrofunk revivalist Ali Love. "Benediction" is good for what it is - a vaguely deep, pleasant Hot Creations record - but the real killer here is the remix of former single "Forward Motion" by crusty old US garage head Mark "MK" Kinchen. He recalls those glory days of tough but groovy MK dubs with a rework straight out of 1993.

Review:
The slight misspelling of a famous 80s haircut aside (note to Jesse Perez: it's JHERI curl), this newie from uber-cool house imprint Hot Creations is undeniably fun. The lead cut is decidedly wonky - the main organ seems to enter the fray out of time, before getting locked in to the groove 20 seconds later - but bristles with late '80s hip-house intent. It has a real late night, warehouse party feel, and will no doubt prove popular with anyone who plays all night raves at illicit, backstreet locations. Flipside "Dejen De Corner Tanta Pinga" offers a darker, murkier take on late '80s Chicago house, all pitched-down vocals, bumpin' 909 bass and clattering analogue percussion.

Review:
Hot Creations head honcho Lee Foss keeps up the not inconsiderable current momentum of both his profile and label, with this new single featuring MK. Going straight for the pop jugular, "Electricity" is a catchy 4/4 number that, considering the big, multi-layered vocals of Anabel Englund, is aimed more at the radio than dancefloors. "Goodnight Moon" is a great end of night celebratory, if emotionally tender, melodic house. "Could Be" continues with the melodic theme, but it's "B5 The Dinks" with it's slammin' beats, pumpin' bass and infectious guitar lick that will be setting dancefloors alight.

Review:
Hot Creations team member Miguel Campbell drops his debut on the label replete with a remix from Richy Ahmed. "Baby I Got It" simply belongs to Hot Creations; summer vibes, modern house, simple b-line and undeniably primed for a sweaty dancefloor. Second up "Something Special" goes down a luscious route with long, drawn-out synths, groovy bass and more summery female vocals. Mr Ahmed meanwhile takes remix duties for "Baby I Got It" and attacks with dark piercing twists and eerie turns.

Review:
Campbell delivers some proper party music on "Beats". The groove is housey and the vocodered vocal somewhat daft, but the refrain "we're rocking Ibiza" ensures that it remains memorable. The Shadow Child remix is a different proposition, thanks to its lithe break beats and mournful melodies, inspired by MANDY and Booka Shade. "Not That Kind of Girl" features a soulful vocal sample combined with an electro funk bassline and heavy claps to re-create the party sound of 80s Miami. Meanwhile, the MAM version primes the track for modern dance floor usage, with straighter 4/4 drums underscoring the soulful vocal.

Review:
Whatever you think about Hot Creations - and opinions are, of course, divided - you can't deny that Jamie Jones and Lee Foss's label has been a game-changer. Their combination of contemporary house grooves with classic house, disco, boogie and garage influences now dominates dancefloors the world over. This label retrospective tells the story of their runaway success between 2011 and 2012, offering up three hours of unmixed floorfillers from the likes of Waifs & Strays, Miguel Campbell, Burnski, PBR Streetgang, Jamie Jones and Lee Foss, plus a smattering of lesser-known gems. For those who missed the label's formative years, there's also a tasty bonus mix of early material from Russ Yallop.

Review:
Hot Creations continue their near-faultless track record with another double header from Leeds producer wAFF. It's definitely a game of two halves as "Eclipse" rolls out as a trippy, deep tech star-gazing mission that's reminiscent of early Spirit Catcher, but perhaps edited by Harvey. "Ibiza", meanwhile, lives up to its name with a solid tribal tech groove that can't fail to raise a roof or two - even on the venues without roofs!
