Review: There's something weirdly familiar about this collection of bass-heavy, warehouse-friendly stompers from Australian newcomer Abstract Now. Check, for example, the explosive 808 cowbells, rumbling bass, hectic beats and borrowed vocal of "Default Drub", or the rolling garage-meets-rave thump of "Evrythng" - both sound like the work of someone with a keen ear for bass music trends - see the colossal "Forever" and bate "The Way It Is" - while keeping his productions impressively on-point. A long and illustrious career awaits.

Review: Aussie duo Hypercolour break out the ravey vibes on this new three-track release for Inna Riddim, with the upfront "Think"-break rocking "Marvin" dicing up vocodered chops of the great man himself over a hectic mix of 2012 synths and 1992 breaks, while "Fool's Gold" impresses hugely with a brutal half-step rave break cutting an icy dash. Add to that the crisp garage jack of "No One Else" and Hypercolour have you sorted for an ultra-modern rave up.
