Review: It's a lush, lovely sunshine rollercoaster ride on Marky's Innerground imprint as Flaco steps up with a couple of sumptuous rollers just in time for spring. The title track "Isla Verde" is all percussive rattling breaks, soaring atmospherics with a purring b-line below. Emotive coos and wails punctuate this super smooth tune from time to time. "Gonna Take Time" is a more stripped back piece, with the focus on the warping bass and murmuring vocal. One for the staunch Marky and SPY fans.

Review: US producer Random Movement makes a return to the fore with this next release on Marky's Innerground imprint. "Feeling Translated" is all ticking, tripping breaks, delicate SFX and occasional hi hat hisses. It progresses gradually with a rumble of bass and a flurry of synths, a soulful vocal coming in and out of focus, but remains for the most part a sparse, meditative piece. The accompanying "Dirt Dobber" is much more rambunctious with classic rolling breaks, pounding sub bass, chirpy guitar melody and booms of bass breaking through the chiming instrumentals.

Review: A close collaborator and friend of label boss the ineffable DJ Marky, fellow Brazilian D&B-ster S.P.Y heads up this release on Innerground. "Hotspot" is a classic S.P.Y venture with signature gentle, rattling breaks, experimental, sci-fi undercurrent and reverberating vocal which comes in and out of focus. A shifting b-line adds dynamic to the track - this one's a killer. 8 Bits then takes over with 'T-1' feat. Q-Project, with its perfectly articulated, clinking intro it falls into a mesmerising tune with booming bassline and soothing melodies.

Review: If gorgeous, summery, piano-laden D&B is unequivocally your thing then look no further than this release from Smote on Brazilian legend Marky's very own Innerground imprint. Aptly entitled lead track "Summertime" gets things started with a flourish of piano keys, hissing percussion and lush, rolling atmospherics. It continues in this vein right until the end - the soundtrack to a long, hot summer's day. "The Groove" takes things on a more dancefloor-orientated tip with murmuring bass, grinding subs and sped up, rolling breaks. A superb release here - junglists take note!

Review: A couple of nice, restrained drum and bass numbers here from Switch. "It's Your Life" has a cool jazzy feel to it, with some shimmering vocals making a tune that wouldn't have sounded out of place on Marky's Brazilian Job compilation of yesteryear. On the flip, "Vibes From The Tribes" is a bit darker, with just a hint of menace to the bassline.
