Review:
Boy Kid Cloud is a young British vocalist on a mission to fuse club sounds with chart success, and this new double A-side is certainly a big stepping stone towards this goal. "6am" is big and anthemic, with lighter in the air melodies sung over a light piano-house backdrop. "I Need Love" is the opposite; all slow-mo aquatic RnB beats and breathy exaltations. Charts beware!

Review:
Expect electro-charged dubstep-infused badness with a unique, vocal-driven twist here from new talent Boy Kid Cloud on the Inspected imprint. Getting things off to an interesting start is aptly entitled "From The Start" with its synth manipulations, mid range squeals and parping beats; before we move on to "Keep Hold" with its high pitched, cooing vocal and slo-mo rhythms and then further to "89" with its piano keys juxtaposed with Koan Sound style mash up sounds. "Gone" brings the EP to a close with simmering vocals, hushed, slushy atmospherics and woozy beats.

Review:
This self-appointed 5 Star EP brings together sounds from across the spectrum, displaying great prowess in the process. Expect terrifying synth switches, aggressive stabbing beats and bass eruptions: and that's just in the first track, "Ono". This is juxtaposed with "Tentacle" - a more stripped back cut with glitchy beats, clapping rhythms and a sense of unease. "Finger (feat. Linguistics)" ups the syncopated rhythms and twists us out of reality with disorientating, fidgety Rustie-style melodies before "My Rock" brings things to a close with vocal element, chopped up beats and rumbling bass.

Review:
YouTube-channel-turned-label Inspected conclude their best year yet, climaxing with an almighty bang thanks to label co-owner Gemini. The key terms are melody and variation as Gemini shows off his impressive musical range that stretches from epic vocal electro ("Robots") to emotional orchestral dubstep ("3D Romeo") to sizzling, spiky Knife Party style ("Freedom") to cinematic electronic soul ("Losing My Way"). An impressive year to end an impressive year.

Review:
Joyfully unpredictable, each Inspected release should be approached with a fresh set of expectations. Their last release, for example, was the epic emo-bass of Gemini, while this latest from Screwloose herbert Teknian is right the way at the other end of the spectrum. Wildly eclectic and full of surprises, we're treated to kitsch funk glitch ("1984"), abyss-level dark dubstep ("Behemoth"), fuzzy Prodigy-style distorto-breaks ("Sonic") and nagging tribal-meets-tropical house ("You Make Me So").
