Review: For those with a deep love of 1980s Italian dance music, Fred Ventura is something of a pin-up. During the 80s, Ventura appeared on some of the biggest Italian dancefloor hits, from Pet Shop Boys-ish Europop to original Italo-disco classics. It's perhaps no surprise, then, to see perennial Italo revivalists Italians Do It Better revisiting his early years. "The Years" showcases a smattering of previously unreleased tracks, all recorded between 1984 and '87. While the chiming, radio-friendly title track is the obvious single, check the new wave electro-funk of "You Want Me" - it offers a very Italian take on the British alternative pop sound of the era.
