Review: The Detroit ghetto don's potty-mouthed 2005 release is reissued digitally for those who can't get enough filth. While Germaine Greer would probably have a heart attack if she heard tracks like "Mo' Gutt Than Butt", where the author appears to berate his partner for the condition documented in the track title, which seems to have been caused by a C-section, Assault's high-speed funk is well worth a listen. In particular, the shuffling snares and jazzy piano keys of the title track and the evil acid squelch of "Let's Go" show he is in tune with Detroit signature sounds. But if you get bored, there's always his strangely catchy 'Ass N Titties' anthem to keep you amused.
