Review:
The new, experimental hip-hop project from two of Italian indie act My Awesome Mixtape - Maolo and Mancho, aka Quakers & Mormons - whose Evolvotron LP gets rejigged by five producers on this first remix release. Portuguese ace Xinobi impresses hugely with his galactic remake of "New York Town", which lends an affecting astral beat to the supremely catchy vocals. Elsewhere, "Dancing In The Mud" gets an electro-Italo refix from Cheaper Thrills' Fire Flowerz, while "The Prose" gets a gritty and bleeped-out moombahton treatment from Ackeejuice Rockers.

Review:
Filtered disco house is back, big time. Ever since Armand Van Helden and A Trak knocked heads and came up with Duck Sauce, others have been following their lead. Milanese label La Valigetta get in on the act with the Rodeo EP from Italian producer Titan. "Rodeo" cleverly lifts a great chunk out of Francois K's classic edit of French rockers Martin Circus, loops up the most lysergic moments and adds a pounding beat. Hey presto - floor filler. The Big Lebowski of American dance music known as Tommie Sunshine debuts his Ecsta$y project in conjunction with DJ Figure. Upping the tempo slightly, the duo add a tougher beat and drop in a few nice vocal edits to good effect. Sammy Bananas of Fools Gold and Mad Decent fame follows a similar path with a filtered remix that chops up the drums and adds a neat delayed breakdown.
