Review: New York's Jacques Renault handles re-edit duties on this latest release for the reliable Let's Get Lost imprint. He opens proceedings with something almost apocalyptic - a cranium-busting re-edit of Armando's acid house classic "World Unknown" (as previously celebrated by Andy Blake and Joe Hart's label of the same name). It's formidable stuff, with ragging 303 acid lines rising and falling incessantly over six heavy minutes. "In The Jungle" offers a particularly percussive take on a long-forgotten New York house gem, before Renault rounds things off with "Bah Bah Jazz", a skippy chunk of sax-laden New Jersey garage circa 1998. Like much of the New Yorker's edit work, it's sleazy and inspiring in equal measures.

Review: The venerable JD Twitch returns to KZA's Let's Get Lost imprint with four further edits of Cumbia material culled from a visit to Columbia last year. Those somewhat handicapped by the less than syncopated nature of the tracks on Twitch's inaugural Let's Get Lost release will be pleased by the more DJ friendly nature of this lot. Equally, whilst the first round were throwaway in a fashion similar to those Hollertronix EPs (particularly the BeeGees and Rod Stewart cumbified tracks) the four reworks here are much more in the vein of recent Comeme output and all the better for it . Once again there's a dearth of information regarding the source material here, though the second track is a particular highlight, all rattling techno rhythms upon which it seems like Twitch works through several different Cumbia tracks within the space of several minutes - the gleeful deviation into throbbing acid is delightful.

Review: We never quite know what to expect from KZA's sneaky Let's Get Lost label, but there's a good chance it will be pretty darn hot. That's certainly the case here. After treating us to all manner of disco and Balearic goodness, KZA hands over the reigns to the mysterious Johnwaynes, who delivers two deliciously summery house jams with an intoxicating, soulful twist. "Glorious World" is particularly hot, offering a carnival-friendly fusion of gospel, disco and rolling, percussive house grooves. Flip for the deeper "I Feel This", a dewy-eyed combination of twinkling chords, bossa-infused house rhythms and sensual soul vocals.
