Review:
Furious percussion and smooth vocals pinpoints Andrezz's Brazilian roots while showcasing his talent for reaching out beyond his liquid funk dossier. Creating sounds from the full spectrum of commercial D&B, he channels rolling drum and bass gods Lenzman and S.P.Y in "Resistance", Nu:Tone and Logistics in "Senzala", DJ Marky and Doc Scott in "Like The Real Thing" and working alongside DJ Chap for "So Many Days", old school vibes are blended with cracking deep, bassy breakdowns that seriously flip this release into experimental territory. Get one for your crate and one for your morning commute.

Liquid V do what they do best and provide us with a good dose of liquid D&B from Critycal Dub plus a couple of collabs with DJ Chap and Level 2 thrown in for good measure. First up is "Thing Past" which is all nostalgic tones, rose tinted notes and rattling breaks in abundance. Next is the DJ Chap collab "Sunshine" which strips thing back and focuses on the drums and rhythms with an iconic sample adding the inspiration for the title. "My Feeling" shakes things up with some heartfelt melodies and clapping beats before Critycal Dub & Level 2's "Watershell" brings the EP to a soaring close.

DJ Chap goes in on a deep tip with old skool shuffling breaks and plenty of soulful magic in the Inna Streets EP. First up in this six-track journey is "Don't Wait For Me" which is all warping SFX, whispering vocal snippets and clipped breaks. Next, "Let Me Love You" takes over with its bassline-led rumblings and gentle percussion, and then it's the soulful tones of "Midnight Love (with Iriann Joyce)" with peaceful sounds a-plenty. "Cybernetics (feat. DJ Andrezz)" goes a bit more experimental before "Fear" guides us into slightly more murky territory and then "Inna Streets" brings the EP to a close.

Review:
Some production duos are musical marriages made in heaven; Dramatic & DB Audio are one such pair. Having given us a slew of top-notch releases of late, they return on Bryan Gee's offshoot label Liquid V for a four-track EP of epic proportions. Kicking things off "I'm For Real" makes a statement of intent with a grinding Subwave-style bassline, crisp breaks and searing, sonorous vocals. The title track is a dark, dense roller with quirky SFX and a hint of jungle past. Up next, "Dreams Of Life & Death" brings in frantic percussion, whirring atmospherics and warm sub bass, before "Revolution Groove" rounds things off nicely.

Review:
Four nuggets of utter audio splendor here from the fast-rising Dramatic & DBAudio as they continue their ongoing funk assault on Bryan Gee's Liquid V. The title track is exceptional; a deep, Reece-loaded roller with a vibe that smacks of 1997 and the Full Cycle crew. The pressure is upheld with "All I Can Do", armed with a cool vocal, dreamy drops and a snaking bassline it's another timeless affair that fans of Moving Fusion will definitely be able to identify with. "Spend The Night" is the soulful member of the "Verified" family; a lady-charming R&B sample complete with pianos, strings and classic rolling beats - it's a tried and tested formula which really can't go wrong. "My Soul" ends the set on a deep crunch vibe; Grimm's vocal plays a cameo role as the minor chords and buzzing bassline chatter back and forth in exemplary fashion.

Review:
Earmarked by many as a D&B producer to watch over 2010, Eveson lives up to the hype with this trio of old-skool influenced bangers on Liquid V. With sampled breaks dominating the beats, "So Fine" is minimal but heart-wrenchingly beautiful, with warped vocal shots riding over some subdued chords that are deliberately kept in the background. "Found A Groove" repeats the same trick, with tambourine-heavy breaks keeping the funk while an eerie, reverbed piano builds in the distance. Ending on a slower, downbeat note, "Transitory Spaces" recalls classic Photek material mixed with garage-flavoured vocals. As soul-enhancing as it is banging, Eveson really delivers well on this single.

Review:
Bristol based artist, snowboarder and D&B DJ / producer Alex Eveson steps up with a glorious release on Liquid V fresh for summer 2011. "Wicked Dub" is a classic liquid roller, with lush breaks which rise and fall like waves lapping a shore. "Peace" harks back to early jungle, with crisp breaks, piercing synth lines and Photek style elements. "Highlife", the darker of the bunch, kicks off with a moody, meditative b-line and falls into a Lenzman-style cut with atmospheric trumpets, before finishing off with aptly named "Sunshine Ting" which is 100 per cent feel good fun. Lovely stuff.

Mr Joseph brings the sultry, soulful vibes back with his wonderful six-track Floating Island EP. Kicking things off with the strumming, summer sunshine of "I Still Love You (feat. Kate White)", we are immediately plunged into a world of scintillating melodies and gentle atmospherics which continue to dominate the EP. Elsewhere the piano keys and clicking beats of "Get Loose" also charm the senses, whilst "Don't Stop The Rock" is another excellent atmospheric roller, and then "From Me To You" brings the EP to a close with its shuffling beats and cooing vocal snippets. Delightful stuff here from Mr Joseph.

Review:
With a James Bond fanfare circa 'Diamonds Are Forever', from the set off with "Funkster", Peshay unashamedly strips off some drum and bass pretention and gets the funk on it. Flute improv, funky as hell bass and the wakawaka of 70s guitar licks, this EP starts off fun but quickly settles down into some seriously smooth grooves with brooding deep-funkster "Fall For You". Flute solos abound again with the gospel organ funk of "Jungle Jazz", while "Together" rolls out smooth with a Europop influence given the highly-tampered-with vocals, flamenco guitar inflections and buzzy techno pads. "Boogalo" slips into something little more catsuit-like with more funkadelic glamour and finally "Swingers" rolls out light and fast with a lounge jazz feel. A varied collection of colourful sounds, it's certainly a looker.

Savage Rehab does a grand job with this next release on Bryan Gee's V Recordings offshoot, Liquid V. A glorious six-track offering, we are immediately plunged into a dreamy, subterranean world of clinking keys, pattering drums and murmuring bass in "The Drums". Next we drift through "Desire" with its energetic tone, pumping beats and breathy vocal to "Bloom" which is another beauty with pattering breaks, quirky SFX and plenty of mystique. "Borders" is a more dancefloor-driven cut, while "Keep You Close" is all fuzzy synths, groaning bass and soulful vocal wailing and "Tigermoth (feat. Ella)" rounds the EP off.
