Love Interest At Juno Download

Review: Having originally been released on multiple vinyl formats, the first release from the Love Interest label - a project from one of Juno's own tastemakers - gets a bumper digital release. There's plenty to enjoy, not least the fluid, leftfield nu-disco of Minneapolis-based Nyteowl's original. Remix-wise, there's plenty to raise a smile, with Brassica's sweet, chiming versions - not quite disco, not quite vintage electro, and definitely not house, but undeniably ace - impressing most. Elsewhere, look out for some glistening synth-pop futurism from "Hyboid" (like "Hounds Of Love"-era Kate Bush updated for the 21st century), a bleep-heavy nu-disco groover from Mighty Mouse, and a pumping house rub from Boy 8-Bit.
