Review:
After Diplo let a sneaky sampler loose earlier this year, there's been quite a buzz about this comedy hip-hop crew. Although comedy doesn't quite do them justice; sure, their tongue-in-cheek rhymes and observations are funny, but they're executed with deft delivery that's not far off the youthful stylish sprite of early Death Row. Pastiche, parody but mainly pure party, cuts like the dirrty rumper "Bong Hits" and the more ghetto-minded "Paranoid" are far from mere titillation; they're proper bangers. Another wise move from Mad Decent.

Review:
Never has a track been so accurately titled. Coming on like the demented imaginings of a bunch of laughing gas-guzzling nutters (or, in this case, Crookers and Style Of Eye), "That Laughing Track" features swathces of maniacal laughter layered over the sort of gut-busting, scattergun rave percussion that should send ravers absolutely bonkers. There's a bulging remix package to enjoy, too, featuring bombastic reworks from Milano (thrillingly pulsating), Sona Vabos (bouncy bass-house), Sound of Stereo (eye-watering electro-house messiness) and TWR72 (brain-melting fidget bounce).

Review:
Having dropped this monster collaboration between US dubstep titan and the many-genred Diplo, Mad Decent come straight back with this equally heavy remix set, featuring a turn from DJ Godfather's less-jukey alias Detroit Muscle who does wonders with a slowed down string sample - building up to a momentous drop into a Dutch-gone-dubstep electro rhythm. Fellow young American dubstepper Figure works up a moody and crunchy wobbler, while Swizzymack recalls a more pacey DJ Sega on his kuduro-meets-Bmore refix. For those that revelled in the original, there's even more fire on this second bite of the cherry.

Review:
Black Ghosts/Simian singer Simon Lord teams up with Dillon Francis for a track that's every part as beautiful as it is vicious. Kicking off with one of Dillon's richest, acid-tinged roof-raising riffs to date, it's all lasers and bass-faces until we hit the breakdown and Simon does his distinctive thing. With all levels of funk and even fractured disco going on behind him, Simon's succinct chorus causes temporary relief amid the carnage of the main drop. A tune of huge contrasts, this one's all about the party extremities.

Review:
Mad Decent's unpredictable Jeffrees off-shoot is a one-stop-shop for all things electric - a matter of days ago they gave away a psychedelic folk EP from Jahan Lennon and now there's this outrageously eclectic dancefloor attack. The sixth volume in the series, you should know the score by now; from the juicy sub-satisfaction and trap-door riddim of Sibot's "Magnetic Gem" to the sexy leftside R&B of Liz's "Underdogs" via the more peaktime squeaks and tribal pounding of Lady Bee's "Sweet Like Chocolate", Jeffree's currency is the complete unknown. And long may they prosper!

Review:
For years mankind has been pouring hot sauce on his chips to give them extra welly - now you can pour it on your DJ set-up for added 'oomph' too. Not physically (please DO NOT pour real sauce on your decks!) but metaphorically as Canadian stadium smashers Zeds Dead head up a very spicy EP on Diplo's imprint. "Demons" is a riveting slab of half-step drama complete with horror strings and all the trimmings. "Mr Sub" follows and lives up to its name with some slinky, sexy sub-bass fun. "Playa" is the hype-hungry track of the bunch thanks to a hair-raising high-end bleep riff, "Rave" meanwhile takes the new school breakbeat style and subverts it with contemporary menace, and "Trouble" finishes the set with Hudson-style halfstep psychedelia. Very hot indeed.
