Review: Veteran UK techno producer Mike Humphries has commissioned a long list of producers to remix his siren-heavy "Tactical Recon". With so many contributions on offer, there is no shortage of diversity in this package. Spark Tabener and Patrick DSP opt for subtle, stripped back interpretations, a filtered wash of white noise flowing through the latter effort. At the other end of the spectrum is A Paul's version, where broken beats and an accentuated siren roll menacingly through the arrangement, while the distorted beats and distended percussive licks of DJ Freak's reshape are enough to give even a Schranz veteran like DJ Rush bad dreams. Elsewhere, Hawkins impresses with a jacking take and Bas Mooy proves himself with a glitchy techno remake.
