The latest installment in Milestone's ongoing "Original Masters" series is curiously Balearic in outlook. While it doesn't make any audacious claims to being Balearic, it definitely ticks all the right boxes. Musically, it's packed with the sort of arch, tongue-in cheek leftfield pop, disco and rock moments that usually tickle the fancy of Balearic types. For proof, check the synth-laden Euro-AOR oddness of White Door's "In Heaven", the decidedly dubbed-out quirkiness of Supermax's "As Long As There Is You" and Nyra Bakiga's distinctly odd "Cor Corora". If that wasn't enough to prove its Balearic credentials, we're also treated to a bit of Sky (John Williams and company's prog rock-era instrumental combo) and A Flock of Seagulls.
