Review:
Your boy Dubbel Dutch lands back on Brooklyn's Mixpak label with ear-shattering results: the "Self Help Riddim" almost sounds like Japanese two-step garage and "Rare Earth" goes for a more disjointed approach, featuring a marvellously crafty kick-snare layout. "Ice Bath" is pretty much a neo-grime piece mashed up with some Pac-Man vibes, whilst "Mirror Test" showcases the best chords we've heard from the man. Finally, "Look Back" also edges on a grime vibe but does so with a looser, less bleak outlook.

Review:
UK producer Famous Eno - previously of Warrior One - drops his debut solo release of Mixpak, linking up with MC Stitch on the fast dancehall/funky smasher "All Good FM". With a joyous UK take on Ghetto house, Eno works up an instantly-memorable riff from some gliding synths and adds rapid claps and jungle drops into this summery mix. Arveene & Misk launch an all-out tech assault on their remix, nicely warping up Stitch's vocals, while New Jersey Club don DJ Sliink keeps it frantic and raw on his Bmore-recalling rework.

Review:
French producer Koyote brings us the second installment in a trilogy of EPs slated for the Mixpak imprint. Bringing together a number of different styles, Koyote draws on grime, funky, house and old skool rave music. The Blowin My Mind EP kicks off with "Metro Bunny", in which a chirpy melody sits above smashing drum kicks and snares hypnotically, and takes us through "Blowin My Mind" with its funky influence, driving 4/4 beat and Redlight-esque patina. "Peanut Butter Complex" has a jacking house beat with droning SFX and quirky moments peeping in and out of focus and the "With Some Pretty Eyes" remix adds another dimension to this compelling EP.

Review:
Koyoto kicks off what will eventually be a trilogy of EPs on the Mixpak imprint with "Midsummer Tales" - a trimvirate of sunshine drenched summer riddims, utilising analogue synths and drum machines. First up is "Night Train"; opening with the sounds of a heated thunderstorm it progresses into a brooding but compelling number, which segues nicely into "Saint-Vincent-Lespinasse", up next, tuning into a glorious synth-driven, organ chiming euphoria sensibility with gently pumping beats and beautiful cooing flutes. Finishing with "Lost In Bamboo Park", it's all jungle noises, whirring beats and snapping rattles for the duration.

Review:
Encompassing everything from glitchy electro, shiny Detroit techno and crunky, low-down rhythms, Mele's output of originals and remixes so far (including his much-rinsed rejig of DHS' "House of God") has been simply essential for fans of future-looking bass music. On "Starlight", he goes straight for the jugular with a huge drop into an early '90s acid groove - peppered with a host of electro tricks - while "Lego" gets on an Addison Groove with a Juke/Miami Bass tempo and plenty of dirty south-influenced snares. With "What's The 411" reminding of Canblaster with its gonzoid rhythms and "Raider" again viciously flicking between juke, dubstep and crunk, this EP continues to keep Mele in place as one of UK bass's leading lights.
